Most Favorable Review

I regret my last two star review. I apologize.

XFX Double D Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card FX-785A-CDFC
XFX Double D Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card FX-785A-CDFC

Pros: I'm back to write an actual review for this behemoth of a card. Finally, I've gotten my system up and running and this card does not disappoint. Effortlessly Overclocked to 1050 core and 5100 memory. Skyrim with everything on max runs at around 50 FPS average. I haven't gone above 55C when my fan speeds are at 70% efficiency and my GPU is under heavy load. Fans are silent until they reach around the 80% mark, then they become a tornado at 100%. For the price, it's definitely a higher end graphics card that truly shines above the competition (At least until the rest of the NVidia 600 series is released!) Plus, you get a sweet door hanger to keep your mom out of your room while you're fapping.

Cons: Although I didn't have this problem, a lot of people were struggling with overclocking the card. And you can fix this by following these steps exactly... ____________ first step is to download 12.4 beta or 12.3 drivers. Be sure you also uninstall any other display drivers like Intel HD. Download and install Driver Sweeper. Uninstall CCC and everything that came with it. Uninstall an other Overclocking Software Reboot into safe mode. Run Driver Sweeper and delete all ATI drivers. Reboot. Install the downloaded drivers, installing ONLY the display driver and nothing else. Reboot. Download and install the latest version of ASUS GPU tweak. Reboot. On the bottom left hand side of GPU tweak, click the middle octagon button for advanced mode. Click settings, go to the tuning tab. Check GPU Voltage and Overclock Range Enhancement. Reboot. GPU tweak should have everything unlocked. FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY Hope it worked.

So far, so good.

AMD FX-6100 - FX-Series Zambezi 6-Core 3.3 GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD6100WMGUSBX
AMD FX-6100 - FX-Series Zambezi 6-Core 3.3 GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor - FD6100WMGUSBX

Pros: Cheap, great performance for what you pay for. Good for gaming. Can overclock to 4.2GHz effortlessly with my 550W power supply. As for this FX, I don't necessarily think that it's a bad processor. The thing works like a horse, but there's no real use of the 5th and 6th cores besides just being there and activating when one core gets too heated. Also, a cooler CPU = Higher clock speed.

Cons: I'm a huge fan of AMD and their products. But, to be honest, I think at this point it would have been better to get an intel motherboard with pci 3.0 (which amd doesn't offer currently) and a 2500k sandy for a tiny bit higher price and you'd get better results than any amd processor for just gaming. I hate to say it, but other than budget processors, amd's CPUs don't have **** on intel when it comes to gaming. Let's face it, amd's CPUs are a dead end. They cannot compete with Intel being the industrial giant that they are. Intel has the capitol to produce better technology than AMD. If it weren't for my am3 processor breaking when I took it out of my old motherboard, I would have upgraded to intel.

Overall Review: I recommend aftermarket CPU coolers for this. The AMD stock fans are extremely loud. Ihave a Cooler Master Hyper 212 and it hasn't gone a notch above 46C

Extremely Good

Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB Connector Circumaural Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset
Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB Connector Circumaural Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset

Pros: Alright, so first thing, I wasn't so impressed. And then I downloaded the drivers and oh man is this 7.1 headset amazing. The application that came with the driver makes this headset AWESOME. Been wearing them for 6 hours straight now and no discomfort whatsoever. Great for bigger heads, but will fit well on medium-sized heads. Phenomenal extra touches and customization you can make to the headset with the driver. If you don't download the divers, it wont be good.

Cons: Not ultra loud, but it's definitely super loud.

Overall Review: DOWNLOAD THE ****ING DRIVERS

Blows all the other quads out of the water

AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.7 GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor - HDZ980FBGMBOX
AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.7 GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor - HDZ980FBGMBOX

Pros: Processor can overclock like a champ, I had it up to 4.2GHz overclocked stable. Definitely the best quad-core for the price. Easily the best quad-core AMD processor as of 11/31/11. I'd heavily recommend it since most games and Windows applications cannot make use of more than four cores anyways. Although the 1100T is future proof, this beast rips apart anything in it's class.

Cons: Noticeably noisy. The fan that it comes with certainly is enough to cool it down. During SC2 Ultra settings with my Asus ENGTS 450 TOP graphics card, the processor easily gets up to 125 F / 52 C in a mid-sized case with decent airflow. Fan RPM reaches up to around 6500 during times of stress if you place the fan speed on automatic. Would recommend better cooling if you don't like noisy or hotter processors.

Overall Review: Upgraded from an AMD Athlon 3.2GHz duo core. Definitely a noticeable difference between the two. My FPS in Skyrim on ultra settings pretty much doubled because I was being bottle-necked by that duo core's inability to render distant objects fast enough.
