Amazing PCIe4 speeds
Pros: I've trusted Seagates for decades, and I will keep buying them. I bought the 500MB for my OS and the 1TB for my games. Speeds are amazing, and I wish more people would buy Seagate. Some can say it is Seagate's fault for falling behind getting their foot in the SSD door, but I think they did a fantastic job sprinting ahead of the competition. This speed was achieved on an EVGA Z60 Classified.
Cons: None what so ever.
Overall Review: Yeah I'll buy more. People need to get off the Samsung juice. Seagate has been making storage solutions for over 4 decades, and I will continue to buy from them.
Pros: It's UV and it's the length I need since I have the leaning tower of puter (a.k.a. MozartTx case)
Cons: This stuff really is cheaply made. I just need to make sure I am extra careful taking them out. OKGEAR MUST learn to use higher quality plastic. I certainly wouldn't have minded paying a little more for this cable if they used better plastics.
Overall Review: NewEgg, get a hold of your contact at OKGEAR and tell them to use better plastics!!!
Wow on the air movement!
Pros: 173CFM! No silly LED lighting
Cons: None so as long as you understand more air = more noise. No silly LED lighting for those that like them
Overall Review: 173CFM? Yeah you bet this thing is going to be LOUD. Even at half the speeds these blow more air than a regular fan. That is why I always try to get 38mm thick fans. If you sticking these in a case people are usually not close to, these at 100% are going to keep things cool. If you plan on using them with a pc case, you best make sure to confirm your fan controller can handle the 1AMP load. I played it safe and went with an Aqua computer octo-8. Sitting next to them at over 60% can get pretty loud. I basically run them at 40-50% for games, and 100% for benchmarking.
Sad about the chips...
Pros: Works like a charm, and I've had them running at DDR5 6000.
Cons: 1 stick uses Hynix. The other uses Micron. Pretty sad about that, but it wasn't a matched set, so I really can't complain.
Overall Review: If there was something I'd change, it is that you use all Hynix and pleasantly surprise the overclockers with an amazing underdog.
No batteries = win
Pros: Exactly what I needed. Multi-button programming, no batteries to never worry about dead batteries and the option to free spin wheel for fast scrolling. I hope Logitech never stops making corded mice.
Overall Review: I recommend it, and this is the 3rd one I've purchased.
Long term Seagate user not disappointed.
Pros: Come on. We all know the pros of SSDs. =)
Cons: Zero!
Overall Review: I have been a Seagate user from the mid 90s during the Cheetah days. It was the company I found the most reliable back then between the big 3 (Maxtor, Western Digital, Seagate). I stuck with them, and I never looked back. It did get me a little sad to see them take so long to fully jump on the SSD wagon. This is my first SSD (What can I say. My mechanical Seagates keep on going), and I wanted to make sure my first SSD was a Seagate. I can only hope it will be as reliable as my mechanical Seagates. Seagate software confirmed the SSD is healthy. I'll be looking forward to another Seagate SSD!
