best price when in stock
Overall Review: it is what it is. gpu prices are crazy. when this card is in stock, its the best priced 6600xt you can buy without queuing or shuffling or whatever. too bad its almost never in stock. build quality is nice, everything works.
died
Pros: cheap
Cons: died after 6 months
updated review
Pros: update to my old review. originally had an issue with the fan, thats why it was running hot. took card out, put it back in and its working properly now. runs much cooler. also, for cryptomining, the settings i used for my old card was poor for this card. once i found the sweet spot, seems to run much better. overall, good purchase.
Cons: rebates sucks
nice upgrade
Pros: can use with ddr2 cheap quad core 3ghz
Cons: no l3
Overall Review: my brother's rig was dying, he had 8gb of ddr2 ram, so i paired it with this.
for htpc
Pros: cheap h57 board 7 sata ports usb 3.0
Cons: only has fan connectors for cpu and exhaust fan. no onboard fan pin for intake fan no sata 6gbs will not boot to windows in ahci mode, i think theres a fix to this, but i don't need it so i didn't bother.
Overall Review: purchased this for an micro htpc/server build. at the time, it was only a couple bucks more than the h55 version. so why not, better resale value. plus it has 7 sata ports for my movie harddrives. although, i also own an asus h55 evo board, and i think i like the evo board better, but it only had 6 sata ports.
good while it lasted
Pros: sounds good
Cons: bought first pair. left side died after 6 months. RMA (back when newegg's policy was 1 year service). second pair died after 3 months. gonna try sennheiser next.
