So Far So Good
Pros: The case looks good, delivered undamaged and, for the most part, with all of its parts. Dropped temps about 8-10 degrees for CPU and MB. Now much quieter in my room as well. For its size, it's a pretty good deal. Cords on my current power supply (Seasonic S12+) reached, mostly, where they were needed to as well. You may need some extensions so be aware. Very good cable management options. Mesh on nearly all the openings. Solid experience so far.
Cons: This case is very large and not easy to handle especially once loaded. One of the drive cages is missing one of their rubber dampeners. There are 10 cages so no big deal, but you expect better from a manufacturer. All the screws shoved into one bag. These need to sorted into their own labeled bags. Side doors not that easy to put on. The mesh that covers the case looks and feels flimsy. Needs a bottom removal filter. Toolless CD drive bays do not lock firmly. Needed to use screws to really lock them down. These are mainly niggles however.
Overall Review: Main purpose of this case is to hold my new build I'm putting together this year. The goal was a cooler and quieter case for my socket 2011 build with a more business like look. So far so good on that basis. The red fans, which I did not like, are not that bright so not a deal breaker. Will likely replace them anyway. The case is taller than average and much longer than average so take note and plan your space accordingly.
Get ready to take off...
Pros: Does Move Like it says. Did bring temps down a couple degrees.
Cons: These are very loud. I got used to them after a while, but whoa.
Overall Review: Did give the cooling I hoped for but they did help. Need a case with flow to start with or fans won't help much.
Pros: Came in good shape. Plenty of cables, more than enough for my needs. They are long enough even for my Blackhawk Ultra. The unit works very well. I'm actually drawing less power now than with my older 650 Watt unit.
Cons: Only con is its price. I like the presentation with the velvette bag and pouch for the cables and all, but plastic bags would have shaved a few bucks off the price.
Overall Review: Was somewhat concerned that this unit might fail like so may others noted below, but has run well for the first 48-72 hours. I wonder if those folks reused their old power cords. Started to do that, but noted this one was rated higher than my old one. Will update if anything notable changes.
Works for Me...
Pros: Fast. Fastest single disk in my system now. Very quiet.
Cons: None so far. 2 tb is still kind of pricey.
Overall Review: 2tb is a lot more than you'd think. Backed up entire system with this and it is less than half full. Was wary about all the failed drive reviews but WD is my brand so went for it. Formatted drive(3-4 hrs) and then did a 4 hour hardware test with no problems. Drive's run flawlessly since then. I recommend it. If you're worried, download WD's diagnostic software and test it. If it passes, then you should be good. Using as an external in a Antec MX-1 enclosure on an e-SATA port on an ASUS P5Q-Deluxe motherboard.
