It is easy to add wired clients

On Networks DSF008-199NAS Unmanaged 8-port Fast Ethernet Switch
On Networks DSF008-199NAS Unmanaged 8-port Fast Ethernet Switch

Pros: When you have more wired Ethernet devices than you have available router ports, the DSF008 switch saves the day. The DFS008 effortlessly extends the number of wired FAST Ethernet ports available without impacting network speed, security or slowing internet access. Talk about plug and play, simply follow the included installation guide and use your new available ports.

Cons: Installation of the DFS008 could only be improved by providing an Ethernet cable with the switch.

Overall Review: After powering everything off and following the included installation guide, the switch is ready and available for use. The switch made no visible difference to the network when browsing the Local Client Tables. The router still handled DHCP IP assignment. The switch acted like an extension of the four ports provided on the router. Unmanaged switch means just that. Turn it on, plug it in, plug in your devices and no further management is required. If you’re out of available wired ports and must expand your network to accommodate wired clients the DFS008 effortlessly provides 8 additional ports.

Not Worth the extra money

CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1142 (PC2 9136) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-9136C5D
CORSAIR Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1142 (PC2 9136) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-9136C5D

Pros: Will run at 1143 if you only use two sticks of memory. I wrote the very first review of this memory on new egg. After one year of using it on a Striker Extreme, it is not worth it.

Cons: The 2.2 volts required to run it at 1143 burns a stick up about every 4 - 6 mos. Every morning of turning on the PC becomes a lottery for the memory post or not. Can not use 4 gigs at 1143 mhz on any mother board I know of.

Overall Review: Never buy faster rated memory than the MB is rated for, it is a waste of money. Corsair has been good about the RMA's but how long will that last? Presently running this memory at 800 5,5,5,18 the standard Striker memory setting. What a waste of money this was/is.

Perfect for 1080P Gaming

GIGABYTE Radeon R9 380 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 ATX Video Card GV-R938G1 GAMING-4GD
GIGABYTE Radeon R9 380 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 ATX Video Card GV-R938G1 GAMING-4GD

Pros: Windows 10 ready. DX11/12 capable. Plays GTA5 at 1920x1080 with 60FPS and looks awesome. My old DX9 games look even better than before. BF4 is no problem for this video card. Replaced a 5870, this card is silent and 1/2 size compared to the 5870 and uses less power. One 8 pin power connector.

Cons: none. very happy would buy again and recommend to friends and associates.

Overall Review: I have this in a Maximus MB with 16GB RAM and a 4770K CPU. #DM06 score with 5870 was 29K and with this card 33K 3D Mark score was in the 8k range for firestrike test.

Maximus VI Hero memory

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-16GXH
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-16GXH

Pros: excellent memory. populated two pc's on a ASUS Maximus VI Hero mother board with an I4770K cpu. XMP profiles work good . Memory runs at 2133 no problem. Made my windows experience score for memory 7.9

Cons: none, zero, zip, nadda

Overall Review: very happy with these builds replacing core2duo pc's.

Good upgrades for my PC's

ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: ez install. pretty red lights. ez overclock and bios options. ddr3 dual channel memory. SATA III. USB 3.0. no floppy or PATA controller. No fire wire header. Lots of fan headers on MB.

Cons: zip, zero, nadda.

Overall Review: I built two of these paired with an I4770K and 16GB of Gskill 2133 memory. These replaced X38/X48 ASUS AI LIFE Style boards with a QX9650 and a X6800. This rig is twice as fast as a QX9650. I also made each C drive a SSD and wow, windows 7 boots in under 30 seconds. This is so fast asus provides a goto bios utility on system reset as it boots too fast to recognize the enter BIOS delete key.

Excellent video card

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity 100281-3SR
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) 1GB DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity 100281-3SR

Pros: bested the benchmark scores of two 4870's in cross fire. 3dm6 overall, sm2, sm3, cpu score of 19022, 7120, 9715, 4927. 3dmark vantage scores were X9945, H13013, P16593 and E30897. visually better, colors more vivid, brighter.

Cons: no cons, plays every single game at 8X AA and 16X AF and everything else at max with 1920x1200 resolution. I chose this card over a 6870 because the 5870s are a tad faster. awsome gfx chipset from ati, highly recommend.

Overall Review: I have a lga775 x38 asus mb with a qx9650 at 3.33mhz and 8 GB 1066 ddr2 ram. I have a HUGE Thermaltake Shark tower and this card is a tight fit and made me wish I had right angle 6 pin connectors from the power supply. Had to connect power to card first and then slide card in slot to get it installed.
