Amazing
Pros: It is quite powerful. I custom-ordered mine through Xotic-PC, so It's not quite the stock Asus. Mine has 14gb ram and a backup harddrive at 640 gb. And bluray. Otherwise it is the same computer. Things i have to say: power levels are epic, but it REALLY does need a SSD instead of an HDD. I'm switching out my backup for one soon. i've got Ubuntu in Windows running for virus protection. Ubuntu takes 4 seconds to load, windows takes 12 due to the complication of the system. The heat is never an issue. Power is never an issue. It runs the entire Adobe Suite 5.5 without hiccups at once. I've never maxed the memory or the processors. I've had all 8 cores at 75% at 2.8 ghz, and it still stayed cool.
Cons: Solid State would work great. Could use a little nicer case that doesn't show fingerprints. Volume can be quiet.
Overall Review: Best computer I've ever owned. Asus has the best Windows computers out there.
DO NOT BUY
Pros: It's an ASUS motherboard and it works.
Cons: THIS IS NOT A REV. 3.0!! THIS HAS THE INITIAL ISSUE WITH THE SANDY BRIDGE PROCESSOR! DO NOT BUY! THERE IS ANOTHER SABERTOOTH YOU NEED TO BUY, NOT THIS ONE!
Overall Review: DON'T!!
Greatest I've seen
Pros: It has amazing power, great pen functionality, great everything. I can't name everything good about it!
Cons: Plastic should have been aluminum.
Overall Review: Everyone that complains about the screen, listen up. WACOM made the pen digitizer. Wacom digitizers cannot support resolutions over 1280 x 960 at 10 inches in size. The display is exactly what it needs to be.
You need to know.
Pros: N/A
Cons: N/A
Overall Review: This is NOT under the Sandy Bridge recall because it has already been solved on this model. The B3 revision is the laptop Sandy Bridge fix. This laptop is, I repeat IS okay. There is no current issue on this model of laptop.
Good, Expensive
Pros: Had it for a while. It's a good program, much smoother and faster than anything else out there.
Cons: I had to buy the manual. It's $55 for the manual; there was a book at Books-A-Million for $30 that had twice as many pages and was more in depth. The only reason I bought the Adobe manual was the CD included.
Overall Review: It is industry standard. Just needs a manual.
Came with my first computer
Pros: It's worked with three different mice so far.
Cons: Slippery, cheaply made.
Overall Review: I got mine free, I know people who have had theirs for a dollar. This 2.99 price is AWFULLY expensive considering how cheap it is. Mine has been falling apart since 2001. Yes, 2001. They have been around THAT LONG. And you know what that means. OUTDATED. BADLY. Don't get it if you want to have a good pad for a while. It is red, boring, slippery and irritating. That 4 stars is because I have indeed had it that long. You don't have something that long and give it a poor score. It will work with anything, but it is not a great pad. Spend the money on something better.
