Pros: 3D presence is clear, sound is decent, good price.
Cons: lacks bass, although i am used to having my sub vibrate my whole room. made out of cheap plastic; looks like it would break if not careful.
Overall Review: I got these because the only time I really have to play games is late at night when everyone is asleep. They are great at putting me into the game and leaving everybody else in the house out. These are pretty comfortable, too. I just wore them on a long Battlefield 2142 stint and my ears/head don't hurt at all. Outside noises are still audible when there is no sound, but most people will always have some kind of noise coming out of them. They aren't the best sounding headset, but they are worth their price. If you can't afford the top of the line headset, then this is the one to get.
Very poor support
Pros: Great sound for playing games. Some cool accessories come with it. You can plug quite a few things into the little sound board that comes with it.
Cons: Apparently Creative doesn't give a $#!@ about its customers who are running Windows Vista. There is very little support for Vista.
Overall Review: The sound board thing is huge. It is almost as long as a keyboard and about 2 1/2 inches high. Expect it to take up a lot of desk space. If you just want something to play games, then try another card that has better Vista support. All the little things that come with this card aren't necessary if you just want to play games and watch movies.
I love it!
Pros: Low price, comes with a case, mini screwdriver included, it works.
Cons: Short cord.
Overall Review: This is a great way to recycle the hard drive out of your old laptop. It is ultra portable and cost less than buying a flash drive.
Pros: Oh my, where do I start? You will mess your pants the first time you play your games with all the highest settings on. Throw what you want at this thing, it will eat it right up. Plus I already have the DX10 support I need for future games.
Cons: It is a beast! Seriously, it is longer than my mobo. It takes up two slots. Make sure you have room for it in your case.
Overall Review: Can't wait for COD4 and Crysis!
pretty
Pros: Very pretty and very clean. Flipping between windows is cool. I love the search function on the start menu. I haven't had much trouble with compatibility issues. If I have, it is the software manufacturer's fault, not Microsoft's.
Cons: Vista will give you the "Are you sure you wanna do that?" dialog constantly. When I tried to delete a file, it literally asked me about five times if I wanted to delete it. It wasn't even an important file! This is great protection for people who don't know what they are doing, but it does get quite annoying for anyone else. Plus, you get so used to seeing those things that after a while you automatically click "yes" without paying much attention. This can be bad if it pops up when something you really don't want running starts up and you are used to automatically clicking "yes".
Overall Review: Before building my new PC, I wasn't convinced about switching over to Vista. I chose to switch only because it supports DX10 on my 8800GTX. But now after having Vista, I don't think I could go back to XP.
clean
Pros: Cabling is very clean and organized. Connections are easy to make. Fan moves a lot of air.
Cons: Price is kind of high. Check prices on 700w PSU's as they may come down.
Overall Review: This powers a lot of junk that I have in my PC: 2G high performance RAM, 2 hard drives, 2 disc drives, 8800 GTX, memory card reader, sound card, as well as other miscellaneous junk that I've thrown in there. No problems so far. This seems to be a pretty sturdy PSU.
