Review of HP DVD1040e

Pros: Runs fast and is quiet. Burns DVDs, etc well, no problems with playback connected to Asus Eee PC 1000H
Cons: Requires external power source, ships with a fairly short USB cable. Somewhat large case.
Overall Review: For what you get this is a pretty good drive. Only thing I wish it had was some way to be bus powered, but oh well. Not a deal killer for me since I plan to keep it in my office, but for someone who travels a lot you may want to look at a smaller, bus powered drive.
Rosewill IDE Enclosure

Pros: Newegg shipped out fast.
Cons: I took a working hard drive out of a machine because I need the room. Got this enclosure to put it into and was looking forward to using it. The case felt really sturdy and everything seemed to have gone well but when I turn it on and plug it into the computer nothing happens; the blue led just stays lit and then after a couple minutes it turns off. Seems like a pretty common problem with these enclosures. Thought it could have been a jumper issue with the hdd but changing from master to cable select still didn't change anything.
Overall Review: I have boughten other rosewill products in the past and have been happy with the results. Unfortunately this time it looks like I got a defective unit.
Great RAM

Pros: This ram works great right out of the box with no problems! It was a cinch to install in my MacBook Pro though make sure you check your Mac to make sure you can use SO-DIMMS. The new Retina display Macs and the Air have the ram soldered directly to the main board and are not upgradeable.
Cons: None!
Overall Review: I have had it for over 2 months now and it is rock solid. I only wish I had bought a larger size!
Great Keyboard

Pros: It does what it says it will do. The range on this thing is great and the trackball is a great feature. It feel natural when you hold it in your hands and so far I love this keyboard with my media center!
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Some people have complained about it not responding but you have to click the mouse button; its powersave feature kicks in after a period of no activity so you need to reactivate it.

Pros: This is a great budget card. I got this to replace an old x700 card in one of my work machines so I could have an all digital dual monitor setup. The graphics and resolution and everything have been great. I haven't tried any major games since it is on a work machine though I imagine it would get the job done decently well. I wouldn't expect your graphic experience to be super fine though.
Cons: nothing so far
Overall Review: I have always had good luck with eVGA, their warranties are the best IMO.

Pros: works as advertised, meets my needs.
Cons: takes 2 usb ports, takes several seconds to go from machine to machine though not a major problem
Overall Review: Overall a good product that does what it claims to do
