Great SSD
Pros: This drive has not let me down over the last several months. Never flinched, stable performance and quick.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Don't buy based on price unless your goal is simply to be quicker than your old HDD. Even then, my experience with other SSDs has been mixed, with another brand's V4 being slower than my old HDDs until re-flashed with updated firmware (time will tell).
Almost
Pros: Good specs
Cons: 12V1 rail delivering less than 3 volts per multimeter. Very odd. What happened to the quality control?
Flawless
Pros: - No fuss. Runs at rated speed/timings using XMP.
Cons: - None.
Overall Review: Using this memory in Asus X299 SAGE for almost a year now. Flawless performance.
Great board
Pros: - Solid, stable performance. - Supported i9-7940X at 4.7GHz all cores stable. - 64GB DDR4 3466 ram at rated specs without issue (using XMP). - Flexibility with 7 PCIe.
Cons: - Limited Thunderbolt expansion card slot option.
Overall Review: - Recommended for long term dependability. I've been using Asus motherboards for over a decade without a hiccup.
Packaging
Pros: Yet to be determined.
Cons: Packaging/shipment: The retail box was shipped from Jonestown, PA within a larger cardboard box without ANY paper, peanuts, air bags or foam to help cushion impacts. Just dead air. It will be a few days until I can test it.
Overall Review: Hopefully the money saved by our egg in this adventure is greater than the potential costs of higher RMA rates. I'll update if the drive has issues.
Great Little Case
Pros: Well built, quiet and cool. Looks great too.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Cable management was a challenge. Not a con, but a few spots to anchor cable ties would be nice.
