Pros: This laptop is fantastic. It feels solid, gets great battery life (as much as 4.5 hours for web browsing), looks amazing, and performs even better than it looks. I can play most games on this at full settings, including games as pretty as Just Cause 2, which even stress out my desktop with a full size GTX 760. The GPU seems to cool very well, I haven't seen it go over 80C
Cons: HOT. Make sure you use a good cooling pad when gaming, the processor can reach up to 95C when using CPU intensive programs. The cooler boost helps quite a bit, but I'm going to call MSI and see if I can change the thermal compound without voiding the warranty.
Overall Review: The laptop is begging for an SSD, only then will it reach its' full potential for things like startup time. But overall, this is a solid laptop with excellent gaming performance. I never expected a GTX 850m to perform so well.
Pros: Decent set of tools. Everything you might need for PC work and then some
Pros: Went into my 4 year old Dell Studio 1558, and now the i5 in it finally has enough RAM to properly handle 2014 computing. Very easy upgrade and worth every penny
Overall Review: The RAM sticks I received were black, not green. Obviously not important, I just find it interesting
Pros: All codes worked, amazing value for 3 great games.
Pros: I installed the RAM in a Fujitsu Lifebook which desperately needed an upgrade. Plug and play - couldn't have been an easier upgrade.
Pros: This is my second set of this RAM kit, being used in the same computer that I built in December. I found that 8gb of this ram was not cutting it, and after upgrading to 16gb (2x dual channel setup), I am still just as satisfied with the RAM.
Cons: The heat spreader is tall, I had to take it off one of the 4 sticks so I could fit my Hyper 212 Evo. The warranty may be voided on that stick now, but my confidence in these sticks makes it worth the risk.
Overall Review: This ram is on an Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 motherboard paired with an FX8350 overclocked to 4.4. Beautifully stable.
Pros: It's high quality and fits my OneX + and Galaxy Tab 3 perfectly
Pros: The codes worked, but keep in mind that you have to add arguments to this game in order to make it run unrestricted. Otherwise, it will not be able to recognize high performance hardware
Pros: This software is great. I truly trust it with my gaming build
Cons: Malwarebytes, like many other companies, has switched to yearly renewable software. Get this lifetime license while you still can!
Pros: I bought this fan to cool my VRM heatsink on my motherboard. It pushes about as much air as you would expect a 40mm fan to push, and it whispers among the other 7 fans in my case. I have it controlled by my motherboard so it is going to be louder at full speed, just like any other fan. For my use load, it's silent.
Cons: The cable is very short, only about 6". Wasn't a problem for me but it could be for others.
Pros: Awesome price for an awesome game series. The packaging is collectors-edition style, which is an awesome bonus.
Pros: Installs worked great and the price can't be beat.
Overall Review: I understand some people were having issues with the AC2 disk. I did as well. They included the serial key in the packaging so if you open UPlay and use that serial number to activate the game, it will download.
Pros: I wanted to add a fan to the top of my case, and this fan did the trick. It's quiet and moves a lot of air. The blue blades look great when my computer is not running.
Pros: Quiet fans, push a lot of air. LED's look good and are not too bright
Cons: As with almost every "quiet" fan, you will notice substantially more noise when running at full speed. I have these on a fan controller so it's no issue to me.
Pros: This mouse pad is excellent for my Logitech G400S optical mouse. It's thick, super comfortable, and a great improvement over my old Staples brand mouse pad. You won't believe how important a quality mouse pad is for using a computer until you try one out
Pros: I paired this with a TP-Link wireless adapter that was starting to go in and out of connection with a router only 20 feet away from my computer. This made the 1-2 bar connection go to 5 bars when the antenna is in the right direction.
The magnetic base is awesome as well. I've mounted this upside down under my metal desk away from eyesight and it's been working wonders.
Cons: Some may be put off by how large this antenna is
Pros: I transitioned to this monitor when I built my new gaming rig after using a 15.6" laptop screen for 3 years. I am absolutely blown away by the colors, adjustment options, gaming performance, and picture quality. I have this paired up with a GTX 760
Cons: Stand is a little wobbley. No way is it worth docking an egg for
Overall Review: XBOX 360 has a rough time using this monitor through the HDMI port. It's playable, but not as good as I've seen some other monitors handle 360's. But then again, this is designed for PC's (duh).
Pros: This SSD was at a great price point when I bought it and delivers excellent performance. My boot time from log on screen to fully booted averages 6-8 seconds.
Cons: The Mushkin software for updating firmware will not allow me to do so; it constantly gives an error that the firmware file selected (directly from Mushkin) does not contain a valid firmware. Apparently this is a common issue with Mushkin SSD's. I'm docking one egg for this because I will not be able to benefit from firmware updates in the future.
Overall Review: Many benchmarking softwares will not be able to properly benchmark this drive. I was getting results like 50 MB/sec sequential write and 150 MB/sec sequential read and I was going nuts trying to figure out what I had done wrong. Turns out all along the 3 different benchmarking softwares I used were at fault. The one that seems to work is ATTO Bench32. I got more realistic results around the 480 MB/sec range and felt much better :)
Pros: Seems firm and the price was unbeatable.
Pros: The motherboard is a solid design, the BIOS is easy to use (love to be able to use a mouse), and I've been gaming lots with no issues
Cons: The SATA ports are kinda hard to deal with, being that they face sideways.
Overall Review: The board I originally got had an audio failure, which ASUS was quick to RMA for me. The replacement board has one bad usb port but I'm not going to dock an egg for that.
