1 out of 2 failed checks

SAMSUNG EcoGreen F4 ST2000DL004 2TB 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG EcoGreen F4 ST2000DL004 2TB 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Newegg shipping of OEM harddrives has improved 100 fold from a year ago. The drives came in plastic carriers, wrapped in paper and foam. Of the two drives I ordered for third Raid 1, 2TB array using samsung drives, one of the drives failed redundancy checks. I still gave the drive 5 stars. I just happened to get a bad one. Technically that is 1 out of 6. I have four of the previous 203 model and they are going strong after 6 months serving up movies and music.

Cons: Return shipping costs on replacement.... It sucks but it has to be done. Newegg can't test every drive that goes through their doors. That is up to the manufacturer.

16GB of way slow transfer capacity

OCZ Diesel 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive OCZUSBDSL16G
OCZ Diesel 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive OCZUSBDSL16G

Pros: Yes. It is a 16gb flash drive which can be used for storage.

Cons: Large transfers of single files (large AVI movies) would start at 3-4Mbit per second but then slow down to a crawling 375-500KB per second. The same USB port with a corsair voyager will maintain 20+ Mbit per second. I bought two of these units on special and they both behave this way on multiple computers/laptops. They also fail XBox 360 performance check for game/expansion pack storage and it recommends to not use them for normal gameplay. They will still hold music, videos, and your profile if you so choose.

Overall Review: Wish I had spent the extra $5 to get a couple more rubber covered Corsair Voyagers. I checked other peoples reviews and they said speed was average..... Not in my USB thumb drive world they aren't. Dog slow. Being OCZ and having such amazing Solid State Hard Drives you would figure their thumb drives would kick behind and chew bubble gum but such is not the case.

Loses firmware every power loss

NETGEAR WNDR4500 N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Open Source Router - IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n
NETGEAR WNDR4500 N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Open Source Router - IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n

Pros: Fast when it works

Cons: I have had this router for almost a year, every time the unit loses power the green power light comes back blinking indicating firmware corruption. That requires downloading the newest firmware from Netgear and pushing it to the router using FTP from my laptop. I have done this over half a dozen times in the last year. The unit is plugged into a decent quality APC UPS and does not generally get unplugged. Just this evening I was rearranging cables and unplugged the router by accident, time for a firmware update. Not my first Netgear router but definitely my last.

Monitor backwards from mouse and keyboard

BELKIN F1DF102U Flip 2-Port KVM w/ Remote
BELKIN F1DF102U Flip 2-Port KVM w/ Remote

Pros: In theory a good design except for the lag when switching.

Cons: Computer 1 gets the keyboard and mouse from keyboard 2 and vice versa. I have to unscrew the two thumb screws from the back of the unit and reboot the unit to get it to work right every morning.

Overall Review: I would say the wiring is crossed up somewhere but the VGA and USB connections are molded into the same cable and doing a hard reset on the unit makes it work correctly.
