Pros: I use my laptop downstairs and in the same room as the router and have 100% signal. Installed and worked flawlessly in my Dell inspiron 1100 someone gave to me for free with just a broken hard drive.
Cons: none that I've seen
Overall Review: Buy it if you want to save money.
Defective board, terrible RMA
Pros: Worked great when it worked Overclocked my 3570k to 4.9 great, ram overclocked great. Great bios
Cons: Stopped giving display after one week of use. I had to pay to ship it back to them, they received it on a thursday according to the shipping. However it took until -next- Friday to get it to the *inprocessing* stage. I've been nearly 3 weeks so far without a motherboard and am not expecting it back any time soon. Would have been better off sending it straight back to Newegg for a replacement.
Overall Review: Will not purchase another MSI product again. For 180 bucks I could have bought a brand with better RMA service, or just gone way cheaper and bought from a company that I expect to have awful customer service. I guess buying from MSI is kind of like gambling, if you get a good product and it works solid, its great. However if you are unlucky enough to get a defective product, may as well just resign to having thrown your money to the wind for the next 30 days.
Pros: Great overclocking features Looks great Works well when operating properly
Cons: Mine stopped giving display after about 2 weeks of use on a restart.
Overall Review: Worked great until after a regular restart it refused to give display no matter what I tried. Swapped out every part and nothing worked on the motherboard. RMA process was simple, tech support was good. Sent the board off today, I'll update it when I find out what they do about the board.
Pros: 698gb after formatting. Partitioned it to 210/480gb. Its fast, boots and installs windows just as fast if not faster than my WD 8mb 74gb Raptor.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I hope it works for a long time. If I have any problems with it I will update this review.
Great router
Pros: Doesn't heat up, looks good, VERY EASY TO SET UP VIRTUAL SERVERS AND FORWARD PORTS WITH. Very easy to use with DSL.
Cons: None, maybe price(Only because I'm a cheapskate)
Overall Review: On my old router it took about 15 minutes to forward 2 ports and on this one it took about 2 minutes to forward 4 ports.
Fast and big
Pros: Formats quickly. Runs quiet and cool.
Cons: Had a problem partitioning it. It was probably my fault not the hard drives fault.
Overall Review: Only 465GB after format.
