My WHS gets me

Pros: This is a great product. It is SO much more than NAS. I use it to back up the other computers in the house (among other things). The restore is simple, fast and reliable. It can serve up printers, photos, music and video to the other computers in the house; including TiVo and XBox. It is set by default to keep 2 copies of all the shared folders on two physical disk drives, in the event one of the drives fails, the files are still there. I had been beta testing for about six months, my installation was about to expire and I bought the OEM version to upgrade it. The hardware requirements are minimal (other than hard drives), you should start with at least two drives. I started with two 40 GB HD from my junk box installed in a computer built from my children's discards. I have since added two 320 GB drives (one at a time), after the hardware is installed adding a new drive to the storage pool is a one click operation. You can easily replace a hard drive with a larger one.
Cons: MS didn't give it to us for having participated in the beta. They got us hooked and made us but it.
Overall Review: After the initial installation it is an appliance, plug it in, install the connect software on your other computers and it is up and running. It backs up all the computers you install the connect software on daily, it monitors overall network health. Most of all it just WORKS. I work in related field. The last thing I want to do when I come home is battle hardware or software problems. My WHS gets me almost as much as my TiVo. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Home_Server
Mine was great

Pros: This card works VERY nicely while it lasts.
Cons: Fan died and was replaced then it died completly dumping the power supply. If you want a card for a month or two this is a good choice. If you want a long term solution, this is not it.
Overall Review: It is not New Eggs fault.
Still going strong and I am well pleased!

Pros: I could not beat the $/GB on these drives when I first started buying them, they are still a good value. Over about the last year I've put 6 of these in my Windows Home Server (WHS) machine. All 6 of them are still running happily along in my application. Earliest warrantee expiration is 2/13/2012 and that is for the more recently purchased drives. With WHS and its folder duplication if any single drive fails you are not out any data, it is like JBOD with RAID 1.
Cons: You have to pay for them.
Overall Review: I am very happy with these drives and have had (thus far) 0 complaints. This is my second review after more than 10 months of ownership.
Quiet

Pros: This is the 4th 7200.10 series drive I have gotten for my Windows home server. They are all working great for me. They are quiet and cool running drives. 700,000 hours MTBF, 5 year warranty and a good track record. Seagate's warranty service.
Cons: none
Overall Review: The 750 GB runs slightly warmer than the 500 GB and 320 GB, but it does have 1 more platter than 500 GB and 2 GB more than 320, so I suppose that is to be expected.
Controller for WHS

Pros: This controller does what I bought it to do. I have a 750 GB and 500 GB connected and the installation went well. I had emailed Rosewill Tech support a couple of times before buying it and the responses were prompt, informative and even friendly.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Works for me in a Windows Home Server.
36" IDE 80 wire cables

Pros: Long IDE cable, 80 wire so it will work for ATA100/ATA133. Good for larger towers.
Cons: None
Overall Review: It might to have more cable before the first drive connector
