NICE PSU

ENERMAX SGALAXY EVO EGX1250EWT 1250W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Compatible w/Core i7 Modular Active PFC Power Supply
ENERMAX SGALAXY EVO EGX1250EWT 1250W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Compatible w/Core i7 Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Use only the cables you need... no more mess of cables that are not needed anymore. Nice molex and long cables. Large fan and quite

Cons: LONG PSU... it would not come close to fitting in my V series LAN LI so I bought a new one. $$$

Overall Review: The 8pin cable was almost not long enough. I am not sure I can blame this on the PSU as I have a huge case and ASUS put it in the worst possilbe place. Anyone, I was able to get it to work with some creativity.

LIAN LI PC-A71F Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI PC-A71F Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: HUGE... Not to big for me mind you but some of my PSU cables almost did not go the distance -- 8 Pin to be specific. case is quite with good air flow... This thing is penty big to hold a 5970 and an oversized PSU.

Cons: Not as heavy guage as my V series case, no sound dampening, MOBO tray not removable, case is so big make sure you have long cables from PSU. Some of the edges were a little sharp and few of the cables from the top mont USB/1394 were a little stretch.

Overall Review: I like it... nice, quite, and clean. If you order a SSD dont forget a 2.5" adapter.

Corsair P128 2.5" 128GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CMFSSD-128GBG2D

Pros: Plug and Play

Cons: I had to order a 2.5" HD adapter from Lan

Overall Review: I gotta figure out the correct way to clean up (defrag) this type of drive?

Pros: Plug and Play

Cons: none

Overall Review: ASUS P6T Deluxe took them right out of the shoot... no issues. I actually am using them at very low latency with a mild oc.

960 or 920

Intel Core i7-960 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 3.2 GHz LGA 1366 130W Desktop Processor - AT80601002727AA
Intel Core i7-960 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 3.2 GHz LGA 1366 130W Desktop Processor - AT80601002727AA

Pros: This chip is a beast

Cons: I probably could have saved some money and bought the 920. I hear it OCs easily.

Overall Review: Having not built a system and lived with my single core FX55 for so long I did not want to risk having a loud high OC system. So, I spent $300 more than I needed to to have a system that would dance just fine with some minor tweaks. I gave it 4 stars as I could have the same chip by OCing 920.

Easy Build

ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Easy Build/I like the bios auto overclocking features/auto stepping/bios update was almost too easy.

Cons: 8 pin is in the far reaches of the mobo so make sure you have very long cables on the psu (I have a large case) and only 6 satas

Overall Review: 1. Dont install asus software (eliminate booting issues) 2. If you are a gamer turn off auto stepping as it will step down as well as up. Mine was stepping down while gaming which did cause some minor framing. I it went from a multiplier of 25 to 12. 3 I dont like that one of the PCI slots is just under the primary GPU slot and thus not usable post GPU install. 4. Quality Board and easy install.
