loving it

Pros: portable, usb powered, came with software, even tho I refuse to use cyberlink software (see other thoughts) seems pretty durable, yet light at the same time, I burned 5 BD25's already and no problems using dvdfab, burning at around 2x and using cheapest media I could find (rosewill, power optical) average of 30 - 40 minutes to burn a BD25 at these speeds, verified all disks with imageburn and 0 errors, seem to play just fine in my LG player.
Cons: have to kind of hold the unit and tray when popping a disk in or out because of the lightness of it, fingerprints show up real easy on the unit because of this, not a big deal to me so not going to deduct an egg for that, also as another reviewer stated this unit is a bit pricey but one thing I've learned especially with electronics is you get what you pay for,
Overall Review: I did a lot of research and review reading before purchasing this unit, most if not all of the internal burners have at least some negative reviews, I'm very satisfied with this unit and it is well worth the money. I don't use cyberlink software because in my opinion it is not good and has a high failure rate, much better alternatives are available, I highly recommend dvdfab for bluray backup and for playing you can open the disk file in my computer and play the BMDV folder with vlcmediaplayer of media player classic, both free programs, also remember when burning any data to disk you will get much better results with the slowest burn possible, I never go above 4x and usually go with 2x if possible, that's all I got, if your reading this review don't hesitate, put this in your cart and buy it, you won't be sorry ;-)
driving miss daisy

Pros: no cap, looks nice and so far very durable, bought for a little less on the jungle site
Cons: slow ..... very slow as others have said 4 - 5 mbs is all you are going to get out of this drive, I've tried fat and ntfs formats and no difference
Overall Review: I think they named this cruzer for a reason, like an old person cruizin in the low speed lane .....
Ver sexy drive

Pros: Got it for $80, very nice looking with gloss black trim and kind of a brushed metal black look on the tray and button part, also the LG and logo are chromed out, bling bling lol seems to backup just fine using DVDfab, haven't burned anything to disc yet due to being out of them, will pick some up soon and test that out.
Cons: Not really a con but mine didn't come with anything extra, just the drive wrapped in bubble wrap, it's OEM so this is what I expected but the first reviewer says his came with this stuff, oh well guess he got lucky ;-P
Overall Review: This is an OEM drive so don't EXPECT to receive a sata cable or any software with it. If you do receive these items great, if not don't take any eggs off because you can't read.
HIS made it right.

Pros: RMA process through HIS took about 3 weeks, HIS sent me a new card to replace the defective one
Cons: cost me $16 to ship old card to them
Overall Review: HIS policy is for customer to keep accessories when sending in an RMA, new card came with new accessories so to me that kind of makes up for the shipping costs.
Awesome

Pros: these run whatever is thrown at them, gaming, video encoding, whatever ....... they just work!
Cons: you kiddin' me lol ok, ok, yeah stock heatsink is junk but who buys these for the heatsink anyway ;-P
Overall Review: This is my second 965be, I almost bought an fx for this build but lots of bad reviews on those, could be that software isn't ready for them or whatever but either way i'll wait it out. These have proven to be a lot of bang for not much buck.
Works with AMD

Pros: @mike I installed this in my kids pc, AMD Athlon II X3 455 and 880G motherboard, so it should work fine for you
Cons: none at all
Overall Review: Gskill customer for life
