Fun. Good pick up.
Pros: Lots of players, vehicles, huge maps, medics and regeneration. Looks great, very similar to MW2. Takes a lot from the old online battle PC games from a few years back. Lots of communication between players. Lots of cooperation between each player. Lots of new abilities. Realistic. Fun.
Cons: Lots of cooperation needed. It can get frustrating if you don’t have your own clan. Team work is important and you know how hard it is to work with people at your job/school- just imagine random gamers. “Marksman” controller setup is most like MW2, but the learning curve on the new controls is about 2-3 hrs. This game is not about the weapons types and equipment. There is plenty to get the job done but no “HK” and “Colt” brand names to try out. If you’re hard core into MW2, occasionally you might have a missed key (grrrrrrr). I don’t like how you have to cycle thru Grenades, Smoke, medpack and repair kit. It can cause some unnecessary deaths early on. MW2 is cleaner and looks more refined but this game is the future.
Overall Review: Great pick up and a quality compliment to MW2.
Super Duper
Pros: Beautiful game. Just looks great. I'm impressed with how much juice Sony is able to get out of their system. I was able to see this game in 1080p on a PC running a 295 and the PS3 is able to match up fairly well. Game is very fast paced, well laid out with a solid story line behind it. After a little learning curve, you are soon darting over rooftops and thru hallways with the fluidity of a squirrel. Some levels are built for speed, some more for strategy. I'm more of a FPS guy but this platform is unique and fluid. I'm hooked.
Cons: As some have stated, Mirrors edge is not a search and kill game. Weapons are awkward at first. The game's storyline is geared toward stealth first and confrontation if unavoidable. Disarming enemies is super hard at first. It does seem short.
Overall Review: This game would be a perfect platform for a ninja/hitman/stealth game. I'm on board for the sequel as well.
Sweet
Pros: Price. Nice picture. 1080p. Did i say price? This thing costs as much as my 28" last year. Got it for my PC and it is HUGE. Best deal I have seen in a while. Plenty of HDMI slots. Top notch picture for the $$.
Cons: Blacks could be deeper, but for the $$ it's fine. Speakers are a little shabby like some have described. You need to play with the color/contrast, ect. for a while to get it right. Default settings stink.
Overall Review: I spoiled myself with this thing. The deal was just too good to pass up.
worked out fine
Pros: Download, solid features and allows you to back up BR movies withthis and anydvd.
Cons: little pricy
Solid
Pros: Small. Solid battery life. Great Video Card. HDMI. SD card reader. GREAT wi fi range. Fingerprint reader is neat and a web cam is nice. Price. Large HD- mine checked out at 288 Gigs.
Cons: It's no ibook. You're not going to impress anyone when you break it out at meetings. Software install was a pain. As someone stated- remember, there is no drive so make sure you have an external DVD drive handy. I first downgraded to XP but my speakers went undetected. I had to spend about 4 hours total installing, re installing and going thru the system components to make sure the drivers had installed. This took 4 trys. I ended up reinstalled with vista and everything works.
Overall Review: Once the software got straitened out everything has been great. This is actually a really powerful little device that can sub as a laptop on trips and at meetings. Video card has been fantastic so far. Head to head this little guy can hold its own against other more powerful Macs in my office. I bought this to access my home network in my kitchen and living room but
Nice
Pros: Quick load up time. HDMI. GREAT sound production. Perfect picture.
Cons: No HDMI cable. Come on. $3 on eby.
Overall Review: I got this free as a combo deal with the pioneer KURO 50" 1080p. Great BR player. crisp sound and picture.
