Not good for streaming video
Cons: Lag, lag, lag
Overall Review: Like other reviewers have stated, there is a 2-3 second lag. While watching youtube or netflix, there is constant choppy video and audio. It will play smooth for 20seconds then go choppy for 5 seconds. I bought it for $21 on sale and I should have just bought another chromecast.
Pros: NO dead pixels, colors are great, sharpness is nice!
Cons: not 4k
Overall Review: UPDATE: 4-27-18 So after owning this for a short while, I realized the colors were washed out. I had to go into nvidia's settings to fix it. I want a 4k 32" display and unfortunately the market has priced them super high, over my budget. I was thinking of getting a 40" tv 4k but that would be to big for my video editing. Then I find this deal on this refurb display...loving my new monitor. Editing is more enjoyable now!
Pros: price, performance, size, usb 3.0, 6g sata
Overall Review: Purchased this mb along with an AMD kabini 5150, 4g of ram and 60g ssd to use as a HTPC. My main focus with this purchase was to build a compact htpc and use to watch blurays, mkv, netflix, youtube HD, and general browsing. This system does all of the above flawlessly!!! Zero issues during and after installation of windows 8.1. I do not own a smart tv and buying one was out of the question. Building this however was the perfect solution. BTW, I installed this system inside a VCR. I modded the VCR to fit the components.
Awesome performance HTPC
Pros: Price,25W, performance per dollar, very quiet cpu fan.
Cons: price dropped $5 after I bought it.
Overall Review: I purchased this incredible cpu along with an MSI AM1i mb and 4g of ram and installed in an old Dimension Dell 2400 P4 circa 2003. I, of course, threw away the mb, cpu and memory from the old Dell but kept the very clean Case and very quiet 200w powersupply. Anyhow, after insalling this entire system along with a spare 60g ssi and LG bluray drive, I decided to install Win 8.1 Pro to see how well it would perform. Dang, this little cpu and rest of the system is amazing! It plays all my blurays flawlessly. Zero hiccups, dropped frames..zero! MKVs play perfect as well. Win 8.1 with only 4g of ram runs buttery smooth. No lag whatsoever. I only wanted to test win 8.1 because I thought it wouldn't run well with this cpu and only 4g of ram and I thought of installing Linux Mint instead. Well, I'm keeping Win 8 (my family enjoys the new OS experience). The entire system is very quiet. We cannot hear the computer running. The 11yr old ps is whisper quiet and unbelievably, the cpu fan (tiny fan) is literally whisper quiet as well. Forget about buying a smart tv. Build something like this and it'll outperform any smart tv on the market. BTW, I am not using a keyboard or mouse. I am using android app called 'AIO remote' which controls the pc and acts like a keyboard and mouse through my wifi. So...I can control my pc from anywhere in my house. Awesome!!!
Pros: Quiet, price, size
Overall Review: I reviews this about a month ago and I complained that my temps were rather high during my video editing renders. Well, since my last review, I've added two 120mm exhaust fans and one 90mm intake fan to my case and I've overclocked my FX-8320 to 4.2 and during my video renders this cpu reaches 70c and while browsing the web, watching youtube videos in HD this thing doesn't go higher than 30c. In complete idle it doesn't go above 19c. So adding the 3 fans definitely helps to cool the case and allows for a small overclock. Great bang for buck!
