Great, great drive, but runs hot
Pros: Quiet. Fast. Large. Can't even tell if it's running it's so quiet. Ability to run at SATA 1.5GB/s. 16MB cache.
Cons: Runs hot. I need to have a fan blowing right on it to avoid operating temps of 40-41C. It's within operating parameters, but still too hot for my taste.
Overall Review: First of all, I'd like to say I love this drive and would made this purchase again in a hearbeat. I recently ordered a better case with better airflow so I'm anticipating better temps.
I will avoid this like the plague in the future
Pros: Thumb screws on the case exterior.
Cons: Only 300W power supply. Hard drive slider is fine, but it's simply the only real place to put a hard drive. There's no real place to put a 2nd. Cover only comes off one side...forget getting to the other side of the drive mounting area. If you read the AMD PC building specs, they specifically tell you not to put a vent right on the CPU, as this case does. This is due to the fact that they want the airflow coming in the front at the bottom, and out the back at the top. They want that flow, not air being sucked right in from the side. For system building AMD, you really should remove and block off that vent, which will be more trouble than it's worth. Overall, case felt restrictive.
Overall Review: I won't be buying this one again.
Great power supply
Pros: I've had this PSU running just about 24/7 for the last year in my multimedia computer. The thing is absolutely quiet. I can barely hear it if my ear is right next to it. So, I don't know if I just lucked out, or if other reviewers were unlucky, but I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Provides plenty of power for 2 optical drives and 3 hard drives
Cons: >70% efficiency is a little low for my liking in a 24/7 machine. I'll probably swap it out for a more efficient model and put the Coolermaster into a PC that is operating for less time each day. This is not really a knock on the product as I knew what I was buying at the time, though. My energy awareness is just a little more sensitive now.
Great product
Pros: Very, very quiet. Did I mention quiet? Barely makes a peep.
Cons: None so far. Running great!
Overall Review: Installed in a PC used for pictures, e-mail, a little video. 4GB ram installed, 1 optical drive, 1 HD.
This memory rocks!
Pros: This memory is rock solid, with absolutely no trouble running the the board listed below. I had major trouble in the same system with another brand of PC2 6400 RAM, but not this PC2 8500. I am now going to buy another set of this OCZ for the other system. I went with the auto settings for now. It looks cool too.
Cons: I can't afford 100 more sets, that's the only con.
Overall Review: CPU: AMD X2 4850e Motherboard: ASUS M3A78-EM AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard PSU: COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power RP-600-PCAR 600W
Works as expected
Pros: Great product! I use it in my camera, holds thousands of pictures.
Cons: none
Overall Review: This is an SDHC card, make sure your device is HC compatible.
