G.SKILL 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model F2-6400PHU1-1GBHZ
G.SKILL 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model F2-6400PHU1-1GBHZ

Pros: Solid RAM once updated to latest build. Gskill VERY responsive in helping us get the RAM updated.

Cons: We had to send the RAM back to GSkill in order to have it updated to the latest. It was incompatible with the ASUS m2NPV-VM board as we bought it. The board was pretty picky, but GSkill was very responsive and able to update it for us.

Pros: Only positives so far are that the features list is impressive.

Cons: We have two of these boards here now with two different sets of memory chips. The manual warns that there is an approved vendors list of memory that will work. Somewhat stinks that you have to wait to get the board before finding that out. We haven't given up yet, and are working with the Memory vendors to see if they can find the magic combination. G.Skill memory does not work...yet. F2-6400PHU1-1GBHZ

Comments: Plugged it in and windows loaded it's own drivers. I put the disk in and loaded the software that came with it, which makes everything run smooth. I am syncing my pocket pc with it every day.

a rebirth of the old generation

Antec Performance TX640B Black Steel ATX Mini Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply
Antec Performance TX640B Black Steel ATX Mini Tower Computer Case 400W Power Supply

Comments: Same solid quality as Antec's previous series. I still believe these are the best cases that can be purchased for the money, but I have a handful of gripes. The large fan is a nice noise advantage, but then you have a small fan power supply and a direct port to the fan on the processor, they defeats the purpose. The filter on the front is one of the reasons we like the previous model, but there is no filtering of the air coming in directly to the processor. They could use some increased stability on the mounting of the power supply, as it is flexing the metal at the top of the case. My overall wish would be to bring back the previous case, without a power supply, but add the large cooling fan in the back. If I had known the shelves were going to empty so quick with the old one, I would have bought them in bulk. I still love the case and will be buying more for the office.
