Great Processor

Intel Core i7-2600 - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I72600
Intel Core i7-2600 - Core i7 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I72600

Pros: This processor is amazing. Its nice, quick and has plenty of cores for my virtual lab. The best part of this processor in my opinion is the fact that I've never seen it use more that 20% CPU in Task Manager. This processor takes anything you throw at. It really was a good buy.

Cons: The price is a little high and the stock heatsink is alright.

Overall Review: I recommend this processor and, if you can manage about $30 bucks, a Aftermarket Cooler.

RAM issues

Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT102464BA160B
Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT102464BA160B

Pros: -16GB -1600MHz -On sale for $114.00

Cons: Towards the end of December one of these modules went bad and started referencing Memory BSOD. I originally thought it was my Crucial 128GB SSD as the issues when researching the BSOD kept pointing to the SSD. After finally removing the SSD from the equation and using a backup HDD. The system seemed stable for a couple of hours.and then BSOD again with the same error. I removed one of the sticks of RAM and I've been using the system since with 0 BSOD. I have planed to contact Crucial about this in the near future.

Overall Review: When I used the backup HDD I reinstalled Windows just to make sure Windows wasn't having issues.

Great Processor!

Intel Pentium G620 - Pentium Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 2.6 GHz LGA 1155 65W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80623G620
Intel Pentium G620 - Pentium Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 2.6 GHz LGA 1155 65W Intel HD Graphics Desktop Processor - BX80623G620

Pros: This processor is extremely decent, especially for the price. I absolutely recommend this for a budget build. Honestly its just about as fast as the Core i3 processor. Socket LGA1155 so upgrading to a Core i"X" processor is seamless and a plus is that IVB is going to use the same socket.

Cons: The bad part about this processor is that it does not support hyperthreading and even though most everyday applications do not use hyperthreading to the fullest. It would still be nice to have. It is also extremely difficult to overclock and is not very friendly in that regard.

Overall Review: Well because this does not support HT, I will be upgrading to a Core i5 2500k or I will probably wait for IVB. I would like to use this machine as a Virtual lab and I need HT in order to build it the way I want. Even though it does not support HT it is still overall a wonderful processor for the price.
