Works Great

GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Used in a new build for the new C2D chips. Flashed the bios to Rev. F4b and noticed a small gain in performance. Overall, this board offers great OC'ing capability and a great design. The 8 internal SATA connections are a real plus, as well as the eSATA insert for the back of the case. Works extremely well with my C2D e6750, EVGA 8800 GTX and Patriot eXtreme Performance DDR2 6400 memory. Gigabyte's SATA2 controller recognized my SATA hard drive right away and I was able to install Vista Home Premium in under 30 minutes. Great board.

Cons: As with the previous poster, I also experienced the CPU fan power not functioning correctly. At first it did not turn on, and then it did but runs my 92mm fan at only 700RPM. I am just using the System Fan power now and it runs fine.

Overall Review: I received a Rev. 1.0 board which shipped with the F1 bios. I guess its a toss up which one gets shipped. Flashing to new bios took all of 5 minutes with Gigabyte's @Bios tool. Also, this board flys with 4GB Patriot eXtreme Performance DDR2 6400 RAM. I was worried at first seeing posts about not being able to post, but I just upped the memory voltage with the advance memory settings in the bios (hit CTR+F1 in the bios to access this). The sticks are rated at running 4-4-4-12 on 2.2V, but I've got them running at rated speeds with only 1.9V. Vista rates them 5.9!
