Fractal Design Ion 3 Gold 1000W Black 80 PLUS Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX12V 3.1 Power Supply Unit (PSU)
Fractal Design Ion 3 Gold 1000W Black 80 PLUS Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX12V 3.1 Power Supply Unit (PSU)

Pros: -Looks great and feels great. Doesn't have a white sticker on the top to show through perforations in the PSU shroud. -Included cables are nice and flexible, making it easy to route and manage them. They also don't look terrible, so I don't feel the need to rush out and buy extensions for aesthetics. Connectors are sturdy and feel good. - Clearly labelled which end goes into the PSU and which end goes to which component. - The clips holding the 6+2 and 4+4 pins together hold really well and are easy enough to take apart if needed. May need tweezers or small pliers to release them if you have big fingers or short nails. -Have not heard the fan even when it's running. - The white bag that holds the PSU in the box can be used to hold extra cables if you don't want to keep the whole box.

Cons: - While the clips holding the PCIe pins together are sturdy, they may cause a clearance problem with some parts. They're just big enough to catch on the backplate of my GPU and prevent the pins from going 100% of the way into the power slots. Didn't notice it when building, but my GPU starting stuttering during gameplay and coil whine was way up. Investigated and saw the pins weren't able to go all the way in. I put on some extensions and all works well, but if I didn't have them, I'd be in a bit of a pickle. Probably more to do with my specific GPU (6800 XT reference card) than with the PSU, but something to be aware of.

Overall Review: Great quality, easy to build with.

Great upgrade

SAMSUNG 27" 144 Hz VA WQHD Gaming Monitor AMD FreeSync HDMI, DisplayPort C27JG56
SAMSUNG 27" 144 Hz VA WQHD Gaming Monitor AMD FreeSync HDMI, DisplayPort C27JG56

Pros: G-Sync Compatible Slight curve that ups immersion without being distracting when web browsing and other non-gaming activities Joystick for easy menu navigation Gorgeous colors Very sturdy stand Comes with DisplayPort and HDMI cables

Cons: No tilt, swivel, or height adjustment in the stand. I got a desk mount so I could adjust the height.

Overall Review: Amazing monitor for my first ever build. 27" 1440p seems to be the sweet spot for gaming right now, and this monitor will give you that experience with excellence. It's a great price for what you're getting. The stand is rock solid, but is not adjustable. I bought this monitor with VESA mounting in mind, but used the stand for a bit until my new mount came in. I'm very, very happy with this monitor.
