Pros: After the major problem was fixed (see cons) this setup is simply great. Great picture, EZ recording to hard drive. Lots of money saved from not renting boxes or DVRs. It does just what the maker claims. Cable is Time-Warner.

Cons: I had the common problem of shutdown after 30 minutes, with a "Viewer or Listening Error." My solution: Go to Start, type in "services." Scroll down to HD Homerun. RT click, then left click on properties. Go to "startup type." This should be automatic! If manual it will cause the above problem. Change to auto if needed. PCMATIC will try to change the auto setting to manual! You can uncheck "services" in PCMATIC. This setup needs a minimum signal strength of 85%. It can be checked using the Silicon Dust software which should already be on your computer. Your cable provider can add a booster.

Overall Review: The cable tech may be unfamiliar with Cable Card. Don't give up.
