Lots of bang for your buck

GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 (WiFi AC) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 (WiFi AC) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Packed with features, including front USB C header, nice layout, and Wifi. Easy install. Onboard LEDs provide a lot of light.

Cons: BIOS isn't the prettiest thing I've ever seen, but it gets the job done. BIOS updater ran a long time without any feedback. While it did complete successfully, it was concerning after 5 minutes of nothing apparently happening.

Overall Review: Would definitely buy again, there's a lot of value for your dollar here compared to competitors. Board was easy to work with during install, and has been rock solid.

Great Cooling!

Fractal Design Meshify 3 ATX mATX Mid Tower PC Case - Black Chassis with Light Tinted TG Side Panel
Fractal Design Meshify 3 ATX mATX Mid Tower PC Case - Black Chassis with Light Tinted TG Side Panel

Pros: - Great cooling performance. Scoop at the front really does make a difference. - Stock fans do the job, but you can add more and replace the stock ones if you want. - Can be really quiet at low usage by adjusting fan curves (just as quiet as a quiet case). - Feels Sturdy.

Cons: - Found that some of the cable management slots were a tight fit. Route some cables before putting the motherboard into the case to save yourself some hassle later. - Glass panel is hard to take a good photo of once the PC is setup and you don't have optimal lighting. - Lack of a fine dust filter on front intakes. The mesh blocks larger stuff, but not everything.

Overall Review: Amazing case. The cooling performance is incredible, so much so that the fan curves can be set pretty low with good performance. I had a "quiet" case before this one but at idle/low load there is almost no difference in noise once you adjust the fan curves. The "scoop" feeding air to the GPU isn't a gimmick and really does make a difference. It's pretty easy to work in. I found some cables hard to work through the bottom motherboard cable management slot once the board is installed, so maybe run those first to save yourself some grief. I also found the glass side makes it hard to take pictures of it once it's setup (where conditions aren't ideal). The other issue is the lack of a front fine dust filter. The mesh front itself will catch larger particles, but if you want fine dust filtering like the past Fractal cases had (and this one has for the power supply intake), you need to get after market fan cover filters or DIY. But I can absolutely recommend this case.

Working Well, Gets Hot

Pros: - Good Performance when plugged in - Looks great

Cons: - Runs hot! - Battery life is poor no matter what you do

Overall Review: Had this for a couple of years now. It's worked well for us. Performance has been pretty good. It does run hot, even for a laptop. Like "keyboard feels hot to the touch" hot. And the battery life is not great. Had a couple of cases where after plugging back in performance was lower than usual, but a reboot always fixes that up. Otherwise it's worked pretty well.

Pros: - Haven't had any thermal issues with it - Good Price

Overall Review: It's fast and doesn't seem to get too hot in my setup. So it delivers what it promises at a good price.

Excellent Quiet Case

Fractal Design Define R6 Black Brushed Aluminum/Steel ATX Silent Modular Mid Tower Computer Case
Fractal Design Define R6 Black Brushed Aluminum/Steel ATX Silent Modular Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's nondescript and quiet, exactly as advertised. You can put it in a room with other people and they'll barely notice it's there. Comes with 3 large case fans that will be plenty for a lot of builds, and has room for several more. Has an optical drive bay, which is removable if you don't want it. Dust filters are easy to remove and clean, including the one on the bottom for the PSU (and an optional fan). Build quality is excellent. It feels sturdy.

Cons: I find the PSU shroud more annoying than useful and the instructions don't explain how to remove it (not sure if you can). Cable management paths make some of the cables a pretty tight fit, although they did all fit.

Overall Review: Did a build with this case today. It passed the most important test: my wife can barely hear it at all. It was pretty easy to work inside and had clearance for a big Noctura cooler, so that's nice. If you need something that will give you decent airflow while being quiet and fitting nicely into a room, you should get this case.

Good

There was some confusion with the order, in that I got a tracking number unrelated to the actual shipping so I thought it was coming earlier than it was. The seller sorted that out for me when I contacted them, and everything was good after that. Would buy from them again.
