Good Tech, Mediocre Bud
Pros: Stylish, Great standby/talk time, Earbud Speaker Volume, Integrated Voice Commands (with Blackberry Phones), Noice-cancellation works very well, Stubby USB charger cable, Easy to Use
Cons: Ear buds provided in the package are all on the medium to large size. If you have a smaller ear opening/canal you'll need to use one of the provided ear loops which get in the way of me sunglasses.
Overall Review: This is a very good product and I would have given it 5 eggs if there was an earbud that fit my ear properly. Either I have a smaller ear opening or the size of the headset's speaker is larger than most headsets. The result is very good volume (I can hear everything the other person is saying) but the larger speaker makes the fit to large for me to just use the earbud and no loop. As listed in the pros and cons, if you are going to pair this with a Blackberry phone you will be able to use the integrated Voice Commands (the old "say a command) gal comes on) to do more than just answer or make calls. There may be a way to map the commands to other smart devices but I have not tinkered enough with it to know. I was able to have a 5 hour conversation using the fully charged headset (w/ the phone on me belt) which I though was pretty good. I got it for $25 which is a good deal; it looks like the next Shell Shocker will have this headset so I am interested to see what the price will be.
Good Case - Horrible Rebate Process
Pros: Power supply bay on bottom of case which just makes more sense to me - allows for better cable management and easier to hide power cable. The case itself has a good amount of expansion bays to use, has a good quality front bezel and power/reset buttons. The metal sides are a bit thin and were slightly bent during shipping (but nothing a few taps with the rubber mallet couldn't fix).
Cons: Thin construction allows for more fan noise to be heard - slightly annoying if you planned on making this a HTPC. Try to get a fanless video card for an HTPC build. Wouldn't recommend if case noise bothers you.
Overall Review: Bought this for $60 when the $30 MIR was in effect 3 months ago...still waiting for my check from NZXT. The Customer service website blows (trying to keep this a family safe review) though. No one can tell me what the rebate status is. This is a good deal for $30 (once the rebate comes) but not worth the $60 I paid - disappointing.
Great Flashlight - Awkward Tether Location
Pros: -Great little flashlight that uses a single "AA" -Power 50 Lumen for it's size -Has a Hi and Low setting -Fells like its made of a strong aluminum - solid feel -Comes with a detachable lanyard
Cons: -The way you turn on Hi or Low setting -Placement of the lanyard/tether
Overall Review: I've has this flashlight for about a month now and it's become very valuable. The smaller size (it's only 4.5 inches long) is big enough to handle for folks with a larger hand and small enough to use in tight places. The only issues I have (not big issues) are the way you go from Hi to Low light. You click once for on in Hi; click again to turn off, then click again for on Low. Kind of a poor design. The other issue is the provided lanyard has to be looped through the flashlight frame iteslf - there isn't a dedicated loop/bracket for the lanyard. Kind of seemed like the lanyard was an after thought. A good design was the use of a single "AA" battery instead of a pricier battery. Over all a good buy for the $25.
