Pros: I don't often review products but after going back and forth between the Western Digital Black 6TB and the Seagate BarraCuda Pro 6TB models, I went with the Seagates. I'd seen quite a few reviews complaining about the WD Black's noise levels for desktop use, primarily due to a preventive wear protection feature that causes the entire drive to spool up every 5 seconds. The BarraCuda Pros have been whisper silent in my mid-size desktop. I ordered two and they are currently in a RAID 1 array. Transferring data from two WD Black (older generation models) I can definitely say that the Pros are very quiet. Quieter than the older WD Blacks.

Cons: As stated by other reviewers, the Pros only have two sets of screws. This works well for me because they sit on Phantek trays with sound dampening material, and the screws just ensure they don't move from the brackets, but depending on the case or mount method this could be a problem.

Overall Review: So far so good. Will update if I experience a failure in the first few years.
