HDMI oversight

Pros: Great layout
Cons: NO cpu/gpu over volting option so anyone planning on overclocking will be seriously hindered by this
Overall Review: The HDMI out must be manualy enabled via a set of jumpers on the motherboard similar to the jumpers used to clear CMOS but much larger and near the cpu
Lasted 3 days

Pros: Fantastic performance per dollar. Stays cool and fairly silent.
Cons: Died after 3 days, screen now looks like playing an old VHS tape thats way out of focus.
Overall Review: Hopefully there RMA process goes smoth an doesnt take forever. Will update after I recieve replacement.
worked

Pros: bonded well.
Overall Review: Used these on the power phase of an FM2 board that had no factory heatsinks and was causing my chip to throttle. This provided just enough heat dissipation to stop the throttling
Great for what it is and who it targets

Pros: Great for the average user that wants a big screen and is on a budget and is just looking for a no frills system for online surfing, shopping, banking. It was surprisingly capable at light Steam gaming. I installed Skyrim and it was able to play at 1080p with all other settings turned down to minimum smoothly hovering rite at 40 fps. Long battery life for having a 17" screen when just doing light surfing and going through Emails with power mode set to battery saver I get about 8hrs of use before I get the 10% battery warning. My refurbished unit came perfectly flawless. I thoroughly looked over the unit after unboxing, trying to find a blemish, but I found none. I'm convinced mine was an open box return item. Surprising light for its size as well. Noticeably lighter than my wife's 5yr old 15.6"
Cons: They keyboard is absolutely awful. Physically it is fine as well as the layout. But they should have used a bolder color for the lettering of the keys. They are just a slight off color of the body of the motherboard and keys so if you are sitting back comfortably at the laptop looking over the keys at an angle the lettering of the keys disappear like a hologram. This won't be an issue once you get used to the keyboard layout and don't have to hunt and type, but until then, you cant see what any of the keys are unless you are looking straight down at the laptop at a 90* angle. I fixed this by tracing the keys with black modeling paint, lol.
Overall Review: Other than bad viewing angle of the keyboard, this is a fantastic laptop. Good battery life, responsive and fast bootup. Nice and crisp large display. The specs for the i3 cpu, 8gb ram and 256gb nvme ssd perfectly complement each other for a basic use laptop. If your looking for a general use laptop and need a 17" screen, I couldn't find another system I would suggest over this under $500
Misleading

Pros: Very solid sturdy and sexy looking
Cons: very very poor write speeds. Advertises 130MB/s transfer speed, but no where including the manufacturers page can you find a break down of the separate read/write speed rating for this product. Max write speed I was able to test was up to 16.6 MB/s . My 4 year old external hard drive copied the same set of files through the same port at 152MB/s. Nearly 10X faster
Overall Review: support for this product is none existent. Trying to get the info through Samsung support required I give them the serial #. No where on the package or on the drive it's self is there a serial# printed anywhere. If your drive dies, good luck getting them to warranty it
2 out of 5 defective

Pros: looks nice, decient specs for the price
Cons: I ordered 5 to re-sell and two were defective. one simply would not turn on, was not operational at all. tried charging for a couple hours thinking it just shipped with a bad battery, but not the case. On the second the camera did not work.
Overall Review: Don't buy. you have a 40% chance you'll recieve a defective product
Making newegg proud
