EGGcellent deal

Pioneer Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 8X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA Blu-ray Burner BDR-206BKS
Pioneer Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 8X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA Blu-ray Burner BDR-206BKS

Pros: Worked flawlessly every burn, tried BDR (Memorex), DVD's and CD's, all very fast and zero coasters. Playback of Blueray discs worked without a glitch using the included Cyberlink software (PowerDVD 9 is included).

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: If your looking at upgrading, they've come down in price enough to make them worth wild. Don't bother with the 10x, spend the extra $15-$20 and get this one.

Works

Kingston 2GB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Memory for Apple Notebook Model KTA-MB667/2G
Kingston 2GB DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Memory for Apple Notebook Model KTA-MB667/2G

Pros: Picked up a used 20" iMAC from a friend, upgraded to OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and notice it slowed right down. So I figured it need more ram, installed it, it now runs much smoother than before, definitly worth the money, added 4 gigs, apparently some say you can actually get 6 gigs working if you put 2 in slot 1 and 4gig in slot 2, didn't bother to try, 4 gigs is plenty for this unit.

Cons: no real cons, it's memory, it either works or it doesn't, in this case it worked.

Overall Review: With the newer versions of OS-X 10.6 and up (Lion is due out in July) it's a must if you want your Mac to run at peek performance. Still a PC guy at heart, but job requires me to know as many systems as possible.
