Nice card, but HOT
Pros: ATI provides a good card to compete with the more expensive nVidia cards, for cheaper. This card runs anything I throw at it without issue.
Cons: NEEDS A FANFIX! Not really a problem to fix if you google "4850 fanfix." Runs hot otherwise. Constant 60 FPS on AA with settings maxed. Runs COD4 max settings no problem. Not enough customizable settings for tweaking games.
Overall Review: Probably going to get another for xfire down the road, but for now it's taking care of business.
Elite in the Beginning
Pros: Very good power supply during the first six months. Not a single hiccup, very easy to install, cable jackets are a nice touch.
Cons: Massive amounts of cables (unavoidable). The biggest problem I've had with this power supply, and others have also had, was that it died without warning one night. When RMAing the psu, OCZ should have provided the shipping costs both ways, instead of just shipping it back, especially since this is a known issue with the power supply and at no fault of the consumer.
Overall Review: Due to OCZ's nice 5 year warranty on their power supplies, I was able to return mine and get a new one. However, shipping took about a month since their office is on the other side of the country from me.
Great RAM, G.Skill continues to deliver
Pros: Easy to install, easy to change. Has not failed me yet. No BSOD.
Cons: None
Overall Review: If you're on the fence with this memory, don't be. It's a great set and G.Skill hasn't failed me yet.
Great, Even After 3.5 years
Pros: Easy to install and provides an instant performance boost. I liked the set so much that after three and a half years, I decided to purchase them again. Aesthetically pleasing as well.
Cons: The only con that I could find, and it is a small one, is that when installing more than 4gb you need to adjust the memory timings. I don't pretend that it was incredibly hard, but it was a curve ball I was not expecting, especially since my first set of 4gb did not require said changes.
Overall Review: All in all, G.Skill has made a reliable customer in me. I will definitely purchase more in the future.
Great RAM for the price
Pros: Great RAM for the price. Isn't netting the 5.9 on the vista rating scale, but that's just fine with me. It runs everything like butter.
Cons: Only problem I had was that I had to increase my vista virtual memory usage, but that's hardly a con when it's a microsoft issue.
Intel Delivers
Pros: Intel delivers without fail. I don't buy into the whole "AMD vs. Intel war, but Intel definitely delivered the best bang for the buck when it comes to this CPU. Very easy to install.
Cons: None!
Overall Review: Replaced the stock heat sink and fan with a Xigmatek. Also purchased a retention bar so I didn't have to mess around with push pins. Definitely worth the extra price because the processor can get hot without the proper cooling.
