Most Favorable Review

Worked great when switching from a MoBo that had more SATA ports

GLOTRENDS SA3026 6 Ports PCIe X4 SATA 3.0 Expansion Card, Including SATA Cables and 1:5 SATA Splitter Power Cable, Compatible with Windows,Linux,Mac OS,NAS
GLOTRENDS SA3026 6 Ports PCIe X4 SATA 3.0 Expansion Card, Including SATA Cables and 1:5 SATA Splitter Power Cable, Compatible with Windows,Linux,Mac OS,NAS

Pros: - Was able to just plug and play with existing drives/cables/ZFS pools facilitating the update on my home server/NAS system. - Performance seems as good/better than with old MoBo - No Linux issues

Cons: - None so far.

Overall Review: While SATA ports are becoming fewer on newer motherboards, it is good to have alternatives when having to swap out parts on older storage intensive systems without having to change everything. This card did the trick for me.

Most Critical Review

Disappointing reliability/flexibility

ZyXEL Powerline AV 500 Mbps Starter Kit 2 Units PLA4215KIT
ZyXEL Powerline AV 500 Mbps Starter Kit 2 Units PLA4215KIT

Pros: Easy initial setup, OK but not great speeds (when they stay connected). has power plug pass-through

Cons: Intermittent disconnects, sometimes requiring unplug/re-plug sequence to recover. This has been getting steadily worse over time. Big enough that it obstructs the other plug in an outlet pair making the pass-through plug a necessity. When using the pass-through power for plugging in my TV, network connectivity failed as soon as the TV went on. Moved back to a less convenient location to even be able to connect most of the time. Speed only marginally better than my old Netgear 85 Mbps setup at that outlet, but less reliable.

Overall Review: I would not buy these again -- no actual benefit for the additional cost. Have been living with these until I see something that gives an actual improvement in maintaining connection.

Blazing speed but heat to match

ADATA PREMIUM SSD FOR PS5 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4, NVMe 1.4 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) APSFG-2T-CSUS
ADATA PREMIUM SSD FOR PS5 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4, NVMe 1.4 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) APSFG-2T-CSUS

Pros: Replaced a Samsung 970 in my Framework laptop with this ADATA stick and found it got rid of the slight hesitations I experienced at times when launching programs. Seems quite fast to boot, copy, etc. Heat sink comes with but not attached, so if your mobo has its own, it is easy to deal with.

Cons: I did need the heat sink, which thankfully is pretty low profile and fit nicely in my laptop, but I can feel a warm spot in the middle of the keyboard above where the NVMe mounts with this drive that I didn't with the old one.

Overall Review: So far, a great value for the speed and capacity at a great price from Newegg, with no functionality issues, but be sure the heat won't be problematic in your system/application.

Very Good 4k Monitor for the Money

Acer ET322QK wmiipx 32" (Actual size 31.5") Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 4K 60Hz 2 x HDMI DisplayPort AMD FreeSync Built-in Speakers Backlit LED LCD Monitor
Acer ET322QK wmiipx 32" (Actual size 31.5") Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 4K 60Hz 2 x HDMI DisplayPort AMD FreeSync Built-in Speakers Backlit LED LCD Monitor

Pros: - Bright with good color even in Eco mode - Smooth 60 Hz refresh - Light enough to work easily on a spring arm stand - Reasonably thin bezels - Headphone rest peg on back left - DP and HDMI inputs

Cons: - Built-in stand somewhat awkward when desk-space limited - Not really a con for me but maybe for some -- VESA mount higher than usual (well above the center of gravity)

Overall Review: Great sale price from NewEgg on a larger 4k monitor with decent performance. Using on an older Core i5 linux box w/ a GTX 1650 card for coding/browsing/videos/general office stuff (no gaming, though it seems like it could handle that).

Nice upgrade for Aging laptop

Seagate ST1000LM014 1TB 5400 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Laptop SSHD Bare Drive
Seagate ST1000LM014 1TB 5400 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Laptop SSHD Bare Drive

Pros: Boots FAST, large capacity (1 TB). I bought this instead of a much more costly SSD drive getting some of the benefits and more space for about 1/3 the cost (at $105 -- good value for the price).

Cons: Was making some noise intermittently while I was traveling, but has quieted down and has not exhibited other problems.

Quick service, No problem with RMA

Got a drive that wouldn't spin up (even with the provided adapter) and was able to get RMA w/ paid postage and have the drive replaced in a week, total, with no hassle. Replacement drive fired up straight away. Great service!

Mistake made but quickly corrected

Ordered a pair of SSD's to set up as a mirror to replace failing RAIDZ setup. but only received one of the 2 drives, initially, though several days in advance of original delivery estimate. Raised an issue with the order through Newegg for the missing drive and got a FedEx tracking number for the second drive the next day. Thanks to earlier than expected delivery on that second package, received the second drive a day before the ORIGINAL estimated delivery. Docked one egg for the stress of getting an incomplete order (and missing a fairly costly component, at that) the first time and losing a weekend I could have used to work on this personal data recovery project, but want to give kudos to the seller for stepping up and correcting the issue as quickly as they could. Would buy from this seller again for being a stand-up operator!
