TOP OF THE LINE (until 2 days ago)
Pros: This is as fast as it gets. RaptorX Has been known for it's superb speed (~88MB/sec) for quite some time despite being only SATA 1.5. I love how it looks inside too since it has a nice window on top ;)
Cons: Maxes out at 150GB, it is very loud, it runs hot but I doubt it minds it.
Overall Review: The new VelociRaptor series just got announced couple of days ago. These drives go up to 300GB, include SATA 3.0, AND run faster than RaptorX at about ~120+ MB/sec ... GET the new one!!! There's no need to get RaptorX any more...
Great looking piece of ****
Pros: This thing looks HOT... Everyone who comes in notices it. I love the way it looks and love having it even though it does not do it's job. (read cons)
Cons: Make sure you have 3pin connector fans in your case. In my Thermaltake Armor+ all fans are with Molex connectors (same used by ide hard drives), and therefore this device cannot do it's job by controlling them. I only have CPU fan connected - it does a good job there making the case nice and quiet. Also, the screws do not line up in my case it just hangs there since it is a tight fit.
Overall Review: Continuing cons: temperature reading on my unit are completely off. CPU shows 38.2 C while Mobo reports 56C, and VGA Card reports 71 while this baby shows 45 ... But hey - it looks cool and it has a cute dog wagging it's tail :) Has Red, Blue and Purple color.
Kicks some serious ars
Pros: This is THE drive to get ... I have it in my MacBook Pro and it is SOOO FAST you won't believe it... Love it love it love it.
Cons: NONE!!!
Overall Review: Vertex 3 just came out - check that out since it is of course faster, but I would feel confortable trusting OCZ with ANY drive... This baby ROCKS!
Great monitor, but be careful: IT'S GLOSSY
Pros: It's great as everyone else says
Cons: It's a glossy screen - so if you are getting it for games and what not - good for you, but if you are getting it for anything else - it may be a pain.
Only 2 of these are better than one!
Pros: This is one helluva card! It looks hot, runs hot (~70C), works hard and plays hard as well. CSS @ 1650x1200 = 220FPS, Crysis @ recommended settings (All set on High, no AA) = 40FPS (blah!) - but still looks very good.
Cons: I can't wait for the price to drop and get another one for a quad sli. Also, Drivers SUCK! :(
Overall Review: Register it at BFG right away and you will be entitled for a 100 days upgrade! If anything better comes out within the time period, you send this one back and only pay the difference in price ;) BFG is good!
Good but loud, or is it just me?
Pros: Great power supply. Runs my 9800GX2, Raptor, E8400 and all that jazz without a hiccup. It also looks REALLY nice and comes with a bunch of cool goodies. Lights on it are of the hook!
Cons: I think it's fan is the loudest one in my case. I stopped all of the other ones, even the CPU fan just for the moment, and I could clearly hear it's fan... Not a too big of a deal since my RaptorX drive takes over as soon as something else is going on ;)
Overall Review: I wish the cables were with LED's all the way ;) and I wish the 1100W was not so much more expensive.
