R6300 blast

NETGEAR R6300 Wireless AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router IEEE 802.11ac/a/b/g/n
NETGEAR R6300 Wireless AC1750 Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router IEEE 802.11ac/a/b/g/n

Pros: Works as specified and the genie I did not use since I enjoy setting up myself. You should upgrade the firmware as soon as you first get it on the internet to version V1.0.2.70_1.0.50. This version does have a fix which works well. The setup of 99% of this is very straight forward and easy to follow. You will like it. I suggest you turn off 20mhz and just have the router use 40mhz and above so you can get max throughput for your wireless g,n and ac. I have found 100% of all configuration work as should be and it is very fast. The security features are very cool and work as specified. The quest wireless network is a very nice addition.

Cons: It is NOT DD-WRT ready to use as NewEgg states. They are a little ahead of them self's but all is good. DD-WRT does not have a supported version on there router database section. If you look on the forums you will find a version from one of the code writers that will work 80% of the time. You can put on version dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC.chk and then the bin version but IMHO i would wait until all testing and a released version is out. I found that the quest wireless section is not up to par. You must configure a WL0.1 off of the main WL0 as a virtual and it does not give you the option to hide your wired network from the bridge in that Vlan. Also I could not get the either WPA2-PSK [AES] keys to work on any WL0.1 Vlan. Other points of the configuration started to fail and then locked me out of the configuration all together after the 3rd reboot. Restore had to be done. You can try it but I am 1000% sure you will restore back to the net-gear V1.0.2.70_1.0.50 version that you should also download and put it where you can get to it to restore the router.

Overall Review: I recommend this router to all.

Most Critical Review

Not good to use SSD with this board.

ASUS AMD A68HM-K FM2+ AMD A68H FCH (Bolton D2H) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS AMD A68HM-K FM2+ AMD A68H FCH (Bolton D2H) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: nothing

Cons: nothing, i wish i could return this non usable item. The user interface resets at random times even if you do a save and reboot. The reboot process reboots 2 times before it will oven get to the OS. I do not recommend this MB to anyone.

Overall Review: This MB seems to reset the booting sequence at random times. So if you try to run a system web site and you have 3-4 hard drives and it reboots for any reason, this MB all of a sudden reboots to a drive that has no OS. And when you change it in the bios to boot from ssd you have the OS on, it will not find it and you get all 9's on the screen every time.
