Fast and quiet!

Seagate Constellation ES.3 ST1000NM0033 1TB 7200 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Enterprise Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Constellation ES.3 ST1000NM0033 1TB 7200 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Enterprise Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: I use DXTory for recording gameplay footage. It benchmarked this drive at 126mb/s write. Not sure what kind of read times I was getting but I'm sure it is around 150-160. Something I really like about it is that it is much quieter than most 7200RPM drives. I don't even hear it over my relatively quiet case fans. The 128mb cache is really neat as most 7200 drives have 64mb at the most.

Cons: None yet. Will have to wait and see how reliable it is. The 5 year warranty is really attractive but only time will tell if I need to take advantage of it.

Overall Review: This is a great choice for a system builder looking for a high performance rotational drive that runs quiet and is priced competitively.

Wrong hardware included in box

CORSAIR Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Water / Liquid CPU Cooler 120mm (CW-9060010-WW)
CORSAIR Hydro Series H55 Quiet Edition Water / Liquid CPU Cooler 120mm (CW-9060010-WW)

Pros: Picked this up from Best Buy a few months ago. Big upgrade from a blow-down, but I don't have any experience with decent air cooling, so I can't speak to that.

Cons: The included bolts for fixing the 120mm fan to the radiator are not the correct threading for the threads on the radiator. This means that you have to either cross-thread it and ruin your radiator or go to a hardware store and try to find the right bolts. Very inconvenient.

Overall Review: Spend the extra 25 bucks and get the H100i.

Good product, even better support!

RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch
RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: -Cable management is made easy with the male connectors on the unit and a built-in cable tie to hold them together. -Fan is quiet and temperatures remain in an acceptable range as long as the unit is not choked such as when it is mounted on a bottom-mount chassis. -I have not experienced any early failures of attached components, which leads me to believe that it is supplying clean, reliable, surge-free power to my computer. -RAIDMAX SUPPORT IS THE BEST! They were prompt and clear in their instructions when I requested an RMA for the unit after it failed. I followed their instructions to the letter and I received a replacement within the promised time frame. They exceeded my expectations and made me very pleased that I chose to purchase a Raidmax product. I used to work in an electronics store that shall remain nameless and we were always taught to downplay manufacturer warranties so we could sell more service plans but Raidmax proved that a manufacturer can be even more reliable in their support than a service plan company!

Cons: -Probably not a good idea to use a chassis with a bottom-mounted power supply with this product. I'm not sure if mine was defective or if my chassis choked it but it overheated badly and stopped working. Everything turned out okay, however, because the unit automatically shut down the computer to prevent further damage and/or a fire, and support replaced the unit as it was still under warranty as I said before.

Overall Review: Keep up the good work, Raidmax. Very pleased with my purchase even though it had to be replaced and will definitely purchase more Raidmax products in the future!

Strange coincedence

Intel 320 Series 2.5" 40GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSA2CT040G3B5
Intel 320 Series 2.5" 40GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSA2CT040G3B5

Pros: Very fast when it worked. Comes with a 2.5-3.5 adapter and sata cable

Cons: Crucial drives are faster and similarly priced. Going to have to RMA this because it has run slower and slower since I got it, with freezing problems becoming more common. Ever since I upgraded my CPU and RAM, it has become completely unresponsive, even after formatting and reinstalling Windows. Strangely enough, another reviewer here mentions the Phenom CPU and an ASUS mobo. That is exactly the same hardware config I have. Go with a different brand maybe?
