Almost perfect

Pros: It's perfect for quickly testing a laptop hard drive. The USB adapter itself can be removed from the case and be plugged directly onto a naked drive.
Cons: The adapter is not keyed, meaning that it's possible to connect it improperly and kill the drive. Blocking the hole for the missing pin would have been an easy safeguard. Also, the case is too flat to hold any but the thinnest drives; older (thicker) 2.5" drives will not fit in it.
Overall Review: I'd really like to see a USB-ATA adapter without the hard drive case - just something intended to temporarily connect a drive for testing. This product is almost it; just wrap the electronics in a bit more protection against breakage.
Doesn't work

Pros: Simple and straightforward. The side that plugs into the 2.5" drive is keyed so it can't be connected wrong, and the power connector is clearly marked as to which pin is for red and which pin is for black.
Cons: Simply doesn't work. There's only one way to connect it, but no 2.5" drive I've tried it with - on any location on either ATA bus - will let me at the drive. The 2.5" drive just doesn't spin up, and the PC can't see it. (Putting the drive back into its laptop still works fine, so it's not any of the drives I've tried.)
Overall Review: I don't see what could be wrong with it, but it just doesn't work.
Light strip can't be changed or turned off

Overall Review: This is a nice and powerful little card, but I wanted to note a caveat here: it has a very small light strip on it that's blue on the part that'll face downwards in your case (unless you're mounting the card sideways), and purple on the edge you'll usually see through your glass case sidewall. This light strip can't be changed or turned off. I even checked with Asus support on this; they confirmed that the LED light is "only for decoration" and "is a non-adjustable LED light and cannot be turned off by any software." So if it clashes with your case lighting, the only solution is to cover it with a little piece of electrical tape.
A wonderful little drive

Pros: The best thing about this drive is that it fits in my wallet, in the credit-card-sized holder that has space for two of these drives! No wasted plastic on this drive, and it's been working for me like a champ.
Cons: It's physically possible to insert the drive backwards. It won't hurt it, and nothing will happen, since the contacts will be facing away from what they should be contacting, but it's too easy to plug the drive upside-down.
Overall Review: I carry one of these in my wallet at all times. It's come in really useful in lots of situations.
Works fine

Pros: Small, lightweight, its only connection is the USB cable and its only button is the eject button.
Cons: It doesn't appear to handle double density floppies. I insert an 800K DD Mac diskette, and the drive doesn't see it. HD diskettes are handled fine.
Overall Review: It's cheap, it's simple, it's a floppy. No bells and whistles here, and none are needed.
