Extremely Good Product!
Pros: This thing is a gem and for the price you can't go wrong with this one. Very easy to setup, documentation is iffy but if you know what you are doing its fine. The router setup is very easy, it will need a bit of tech knowledge if you want to mess around with WISP or AP/Repeater modes but overall an excellent buy!!
Cons: None so far..
Overall Review: I run a few virtual machines on my desktop which is located upstairs while by wireless routers are in the basement. I started using a USB adapter to get internet access on my desktop but things got extremely slow on all my VMs as that is what it used as its network card when I booted them which is when I started looking for a wireless bridge. All the ones I saw were around 60 bucks and knowing that this one can serve the purpose of a bridge by using WISP or AP modes I decided to give this a try and for the price it was a no brainer.. Anyway, overall this is an excellent buy for me and I have had a strong consistent and fast signal from day 1. Needed to reboot it once but I can live with that..
Do not buy -- Should have the option to give zero eggs for rating.
Pros: Appropriate # of connectors although I had to buy a molex to SATA power converter as I had 3 hard drives and a DVD drive. The power unit comes with 3 SATA power.
Cons: Even though it has the certification, the weight of the unit compared to the other 450W units should have given me enough info to return the same day. Just past 30 days since I bought this, so out of return policy, dead weight. Soon will be tossed.. Fresh install of Windows 2010 64Bit Pro and the machine has nothing fancy in it. Primarily being used for running a couple of virtual machines. Ryzen 7 1700X with Cooler Master Evo cooler 32GB Gskill 2400 256GBSSD 512GB SSD 1TB HDD 1GB EVGA Video Card (Recommended power supply 300W) CPU temp never reaches more than 45C. No junk software, base OS and Video Driver, Oracle Virtual Box. I noticed the box rebooting once or twice daily and once I looked at the event viewer logs it was evident that there were sudden power issues which caused the OS to ABEND processes and hard reboot due to loss of power.
Went out in 5 months!!
Pros: Noneq
Cons: Got two of them, one went out in less than 6 months with very average use. They are supposed to last for years but lasted less than six months.
Overall Review: Next time I will look for Made in America on the label.. I'm sure it will last a lot longer if they are proudly made here..Quality compromise is something I cannot stand, sadly that is what you get these days..!
Great PSU!!
Pros: Quiet and runs cool even at high load.
Cons: None!
Overall Review: I tried to go cheap with a built in PSU that came with the cabinet. Ran well for a few weeks but then all of a sudden the computer would shut down. I tested the PSU and it passed but based on the symptom I was convinced that it was the PSU that was at fault. I went online and as always I found a great deal for the EA-430D Green. The reviews were all 5 star from others and now I know why but I decided to do my research anyway. This is the best rated PSU out there and for the price you cannot go wrong!
Great RAM!!!
Pros: Great memory module for the price, does great on a system running AMD X6 1100T, Windows 7 Pro x64.. no complains whatsoever!!
Cons: None so far!
Stay Away!!
Pros: Looks great and that's about it!!
Cons: Poor quality. The power supply burned out within a couple of days. I kept the machine running and left the house to do some grocery shopping. When I came back the house was filled with a smell of something burning.. I ran upstairs and noticed that the computer had a blue screen and the smell was coming out from the power supply. I instantly turned the machine off and returned the case back to newegg. Newegg was excellent with their RMA process!! Got a cooler master case with a built in power supply and its been running flawlessly for 3 months now..
