Quality: one warning

Pros: Unit came in great shape and was a bare drive just like I expected. Neweggs excellent experience was everything I wanted it to be. This is the normal laptop drive format of 12.7 mm which is basically a half inch in depth. I'm sure it performs wonderfully from other reveiws.
Cons: Beware if you have a 'thin' laptop. There are plenty of laptop models out there that use a drive that is even slimmer. If the thickest part of your drive's metal casing (without attached bezel [where the eject button is]) is 12.7 mm or a bout a half inch this will fit. If it is less, it will not.
Overall Review: I didn't want to hurt this product's rating, but a change in the market means more information should be listed. Some laptops that are very thin use a different format drive. Your laptop manufacturer may not list this new super-slim format in it's product specs. Some manufacturers have switched to a optical drive that is only 9.5 mm thick. This means this normal format will not fit in those laptops. My experience only includes the HP DM4 series which uses an even smaller format 9.5mm drive than the normal 12.7mm, but you should be sure to check that this drive is compatible with your PC. If you cannot find the drive size information from your manufacturer; remove your optical drive (easy for most that would purchase something like this) and compare the inside end to the photo. This is the end with the SATA connector. Look specifically at the spacing of the threaded screw holes. You will notice that the screw holes for a 9.5mm drive are different in the spacing pattern.
Failed too Soon

Pros: Comfortable in hand, not un-attractive.
Cons: Right click stopped working after 2 months. Don't know what happened to logitech, but I USED to reccomend their products above all others. I have optical logitech mice from 8 years ago that have taken much more abuse than this one ever got, and they're still going strong.
Overall Review: I would have attempted a logitech RMA if I kept original packaging but their c/svc wanted a bunch of stuff to allow the rma. Mice are too cheap to have to deal with that kind of frustration.
Well designed, compact and useful. Power light is crazy bright...

Pros: Small size can fit under/behind most desks. Power supply cord well designed to be minimally invasive. Surge-only ports, so non-essential devices don't drain the battery.
Cons: Power LED is much too bright. No specific Ground Fault indicator. Surge-protected outlets are not spaced out.
Overall Review: Yes, I would recommend it for home office, or business office use. This inexpensive and compact unit will give you peace of mind that your equipment is protected and should give you enough time to shut down safely, without losing work. Home uses note that the LED Power light is extremely bright and will be very intrusive if used in a bedroom or guest room. I have owned this for 2+ months and only once has it needed to go on battery backup/alert. Sadly, it took me 3 hours to figure out that the ground cable was the reason it was beeping. Something had loosened the plug from it's wall AC outlet, causing it to beep aggressively and no indication of why. Devices were working, obviously it wasn't on battery power. There was no message on my connected PC as to why it was beeping. Overall I was happy with the purchase, but because the auto-installed USB driver couldn't diagnose a simple ground fault, and the excessively bright power indicator LED I had to deduct one egg. I had to cover the power light because even through my tinted glass desk the LED light was too bright at night. My whole ceiling would glow green if I didn't cover the LED light. Obviously this wouldn't be an issue if it's not someone's bedroom.
Useless 'upgrade' use open

Pros: none
Cons: Despite being told that my purchase of this subscription would allow me to use/combine my work and personal accounts, it did not. It's a useless expense that should be avoided in extreme.
Overall Review: NO: I would never recommend this to any person.Doesn't streamline usage of my work/personal business.Doesn't add any value to my computer.Doesn't reduce my efforts during my work day.Does increase the costs of any hardware including Microsoft software/services.
Exemplary protection

Pros: Low usage of cpu/ram/gpuHigh protection
Cons: Constant reminders to renew once product is expired
Overall Review: Yes I would recommend ESET AntiVirus to everyone! My only con is that I get inundated with renewal ads when my product is near expiration, and the prices are 30 percent more than what's on the open market! If you want to retain your consumer base, offer a lower price for repeat customers. Don't charge them more for the same!
Great for large-cable situations

Pros: I used this in a very large install where I needed to control large amounts of cable. While the total strength/security of a zip tie is ideal, nothing beats the re-usability of this stuff in AV/HT/HT-PC installations where the quantity of cabling requires a higher strength hold.
Cons: Expensive when compared to the (also Velcro brand) reusable Ties.
Overall Review: The 8" reusable ties (I think P# 90924/newegg# N82E16848035580) are a much better value in situations where custom length & serious hold-strength isn't needed, but re-usability is. I can find these locally for 5-6 dollars and make sure to always keep an extra roll in my tool bag. The wrap around is nice for simple quick-fix (like my USB laser mouse I take along for laptop jobs) and the loop through option is excellent for longer term cable-control usage, or when you need the extra strength. You think wire-ties or zip ties are great, you haven't tried this or the other product I mentioned.
A good purchase/item, confusing setup/intructions
I would definitely buy more from this seller. The product was delivered in great shape and looks completely functional. I am not the best at reading instructions, so the brief manual is a bit difficult for me. I will investigate it more and feel confident that I will be able to setup the system with positive results. As much time as I Spend on the roads, a worthy investment. I especially wanted one with a rear-view camera as tailgating is a common experience, and now I can send video evidence to the authorities and get these aggressive piles of *#it fined or off the roads!
