Awesome, inexpensive, can unlock all cores!

Pros: Great board. No trouble installing. F2C BIOS unlocks Cores! No need for ATI crossfire? Then this one is perfect! Read up on the "AMD 700 chipset series" on a famous Wiki... site to know that you are not missing much with this Chipset (NB and SB) CORES UNLOCKED! I was thinking I had to downgrade to old bios (actually I forgot to even check what mine shipped with) So I tried first bios realese, no-go. Then tried latest bios "F2C." YES! New option in ACC - "Hybrid" To unlock you must go into Advanced Clock Calibration and Set to "Hybrid" Mode AND "Auto". Will prompt for firmware update and reboot. Woohoo!, 4 cores on Phenom II X2 550. SATA connectors face UP, which I like better than forward.
Cons: Took me a lot of reaseach to figure out how to use ACC to unlock cores. :) No RAID 5 or ATI Crossfire. A good thing for me!
Overall Review: The 770 Northbridge basically Lacks ATI Crossfire support, which I didn't want anyway. The 710 Southbridge lacks RAID 5 support (I only use RAID 1 since my computer is important.) So, why pay more for un-needed "features".
Ordered 2, returned 2. Lame!

Pros: The cost for the wattage specified was the only pro for me. System was stable.
Cons: Main problem was exremely loud BUZZING transformer. The case of the power supply has joints that amplified the buzzing. When I ran a stress test (prime 95) The buzzing noise doubled in volume. If I placed my hand on the power supply case, the buzzing was muted, but I could feel lots of vibration from the transformer. I bought one and did an RMA for buzzing. Got the replacement and it was MUCH worse. I gave up and went to a local store and bought an Antec 550 and the system is dead quiet now! I wish I could have got a good one because the price was great. But unfortunately you get what you pay for. Also, only the main motherboard cable had sleeving Tthe cables were too short to routh them nicely.
Overall Review: I lost 18 bucks because this unit did not have free shipping and I had to RMA, reorder, then RMA again. Newegg paied for return shipping.
2 bad sets out of 3

Pros: If it works, the memory is fast, and supposedly it has a good heat pipe cooler. I have 1 good set (out of 3 sets) that passed diags (memtest86 and Prime 95.)
Cons: I have had 3 sets of this memory. I'm just trying to build two identical computers. 1 set of memory passed in both systems. the other 2 sets failed in both systems. So it is most certainly the memory that is bad. If you buy this memory, I would HIGHLY recommend you run memtest86 to verify if it's good I have returned two sets, and have ordered another set like a stubborn idiot. So I will test the 4th set once I get it. If it works...then FOR ME the memory will only have a 50% failure rate. If it doesn't work it will be a 75% failure rate *again only for me* and I certainly will not be so stupid as to order another set. I will move on to another brand that I've never had problems with. Also, The heat pipe is not even getting warm and the heat spreaders ARE. This tells me that there is probably not good heat transfer from the top of heat spreader to the pipe and heatsink on top. Therefore I think it's far less functional than it looks.
Overall Review: If I hadn't tested, I would probably not know it was bad memory because there was no system instability or errors related to memory. I would have probably found out later the hard way (once I was doing something that really uses 4 gigs of memory), and after the newegg return period. Then I would be dealing with OCZ support, which from the reports I have seen does not sound like something I want to deal with. I'm not sure if I should give this memory a 2 or a 3 for my troubles. I'll go with 3 I suppose and I'll just hope I weeded out some bad modules for you.
Breaking the too awesome rule.

Pros: As a 45nm "dual core Phenom II" this is really great deal. However, It is actually a quad core chip with 2 cores disabled because either they are faulty, OR some other reason like high demand for the dual core model at the moment. For me there was a huge ADDED BONUS. I was able to unlock all cores on this chip. Apparently I accidentally made the right motherboard choice. (Mine is a GA-MA770T-UD3P) I had no knowledge of unlocking cores until I had already ordered the items.... With *LATEST* "F2C" BIOS (NOT the first release or beta), I unlocked mine and now have a stable QUAD core running at 3.6GHz!! Stress test runs and runs and runs! :) I couldn't be happier. Even if I couldn't have unlocked it. It's a 45nm Dual Core Chip with 7MB of cache for cheap. Sorry I have no benchmark scores for you... been busy figuring out how to unlock cores :) It's a Black Edition which obvisouly means the multiplier is unlocked specifically for overclocking.
Cons: AMD has compelled me to buy a second one, which means they are way smarter than me because I wasn't considering that before! Go figure. Mine was not stable at 3.8 or 4 GHz at 1.425V by multiplier alone, (havn't tried FSB overclocking yet on this)although I only tested breifely at 3.8. and was not extremely aggressive on voltage.
Overall Review: The stock cooler looks ok but I didn't try it. I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212. You must buy this knowing it's a DUAL, not QUAD. and it a great price for one too with this much performance for the money. But if you come out ahead... Good for you. I ordered mine 6/15/09... incase that's important.
Absolute incredible value.

Pros: How can you beat this value? I'm not a serious over clocker, but mine is at 3.2 GHz. I use a "hyper 212" heatsink (also very nice) Can't remember my temps right now, but they are low. Not far from room temp! Sorry, specs would be good huh. Don't forget this is a phenom core. Not at all the same as an Athlon X2. It's a Phenom X2 and it's awesome. The Black Edition multiplier is unlocked so it wants you to OC it.
Cons: No cons at all.
Overall Review: I didn't even try the stock heatsink as many people probably do not. The chip runs so cool though I bet the stock heasink would be ok even with some overclocking. Don't know til you try I guess. Games are not even designed for quad core you'll gain a better performance from a faster clocked dual-core processor insted of a slower clocked quad-core processor. I love it and I'm getting another one.
