Cons: I used this to backup tons of data for a server migration. After a couple of days the drive was dead. I checked the power supply and everything else. I concluded it was the enclosure. So I break it open and get the drive out, connected it to a SATA port and got my data back. I will order another enclosure that supports 3TB drives.

Pros: Work good non-stop for 2.5 years connected to a UPS. Warranty is for 5 years so that's good. Not sure if it's worth paying the shipping fees for warranty.

Cons: Died by itself without any warning. Started smelling like burned silicon and then shut off. Power supply tested shows no signs of life.

Overall Review: I purchased a thermaltake with solid Japanese capacitors. Let's see how long this one lasts.

Cons: I purchased 4 of these drives. They have a firmware bug! You will loose all your data if you enable NCQ! Google it, there's a firmware fix from Samsung. Stay away from these drives. Don't go through what I went through to get my data back through painstaking recovery software. Is not worth it, pay a little extra and get another model that is more reliable.
