Most Favorable Review

Great monitor, more than what I needed

Dell P2715Q 27" 3840 x 2160 Monitor (4K) Fast mode: 6ms gray-to-gray
Dell P2715Q 27" 3840 x 2160 Monitor (4K) Fast mode: 6ms gray-to-gray

Pros: - Color is excellent - Contrast, brightness, all great - Great menu interface

Cons: - Bezel could be thinner

Overall Review: I'm not sure 4k made sense at 27". Without Windows 125% scaling, things are crazy small. Windows 7 also has really bad scaling options, my other monitor is 1440p so that would mess that one up. Going back, I'm not sure I'd get it again. I think I'll replace this one with the Acer Predator X34, especially since the UltraWide setting would really make gaming awesome. As for my Designers perspective, the extra real estate is bomb and the color makes my designs perfect. This might be better suited in my office where I use my mac to design. As for my personal Windows PC use, I'll pass on 4k.

Most Critical Review

Good but can be a stubborn MOBO

ASUS ROG RAMPAGE V EXTREME/U3.1 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Extended ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard
ASUS ROG RAMPAGE V EXTREME/U3.1 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Extended ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard

Pros: - Great OC capability - Pretty awesome automated OC for conservative use - A plethora of nice features

Cons: - RAID 0 had some issues for me. I was raiding two samsung EVOs SSDs. BIOS would recognize this but Windows Install wouldn't even detect it. I went through so many forums, doing custom driver install via USB, unraiding, re-raiding, unplugging every other bootable device, nothing worked. I couldn't even get into the legacy raid settings through DOS. Eventually, through chance, I was able to get into the DOS RAID screen (avoiding the Asus BIOS raid configuration). I began making some progress but still, nothing. Finally, I set all drive boot settings to legacy and finally, it worked. Not sure why but it did. Every now and then, the boot won't work and it'll default to nothing. I have to then do two things: reset my computer w/ one monitor on, and manually boot from the raid. After that, I can restart and all will be good. Not sure why this is happening but it's freaking annoying.

Look at all the room for activities!

Phanteks Enthoo Primo PH-ES813P_WT White Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Phanteks Enthoo Primo PH-ES813P_WT White Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: - So much space! - Extremely clean and minimal - Great cable management space - PSU gets hidden on back side - Dust filters

Cons: - I wish USB connectors were in the front, not at the top

Overall Review: This is a huge case and it barely fits under my table. Cable management was a breeze which really makes this thing look so good. Once I move into a larger space, I'd like to put this on top of my desk, where it deserves to be showcased; however, the lack of front-facing USB ports makes me second think that. I'd have to reach to plug any USB device through the top.

Disappointed...

G.SKILL RIPJAWS MX780 USB Wired RGB Laser Gaming Mouse
G.SKILL RIPJAWS MX780 USB Wired RGB Laser Gaming Mouse

Pros: - Pretty awesome lighting configuration, unlike any mouse I've ever used - Cool looking

Cons: - A bit small - Not as ergonomic as people claim, my hands are pretty small as well - It is difficult to comfortably lift the mouse (I wish the side plate was a bit more grippy and bulgy—a bit more rounded edge for my resting fingers would be so comfy and make it easier to grab) - Not sure if mine is defective, but moving it across my mouse pad I can feel friction from the pads grabbing - When I push down on the mouse keys, I can feel the mouse dip down since it's not completely flush on the bottom.

Overall Review: I currently have the Logitech G502 Proteus and the Razer Naga Molten. I dislike how the Proteus has the sniper button by the thumb since that's normally where mine rests. I tend to have a tight grip so the button gets in the way. I was hoping this would be a cool new mouse for me to use but I'm pretty disappointed. It isn't comfortable, I dislike how the mouse dips, it's annoying when it grabs the mousepad on movement. At least it looks cool, though. Really thinking this is something I should return.

Better than expected

Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate (CL-W007-PL12BL-A) Enthusiasts Class Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 360MM
Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate (CL-W007-PL12BL-A) Enthusiasts Class Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 360MM

Pros: - Keeps my CPU real cool - Large radiator - Triple fan cable conversion (converts to a single fan plug for ease)

Cons: - Can be one of the more complicated to install with the mounts requiring assembly, instructions aren't great but images are clear - Not the best looking CLC (I would like to see some nice LEDs but that's just me being picky)

Overall Review: I read a lot of mixed reviews about it but when I compared it to my old corsair H100 CLC, this one works better. And it's seemingly quieter, my old build was pretty loud. My 5930K when gaming in my MMO averages around 44C, I've never seen it go above 52C for the past 2 months. It is moderately OC as well. Idle temp is 32-35C. Before OC, it averaged an idle of 28C.

Off to a good start but...

ASUS STRIX CLAW 90YH00C1-BAUA00 Black 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 5000 dpi Gaming Mouse
ASUS STRIX CLAW 90YH00C1-BAUA00 Black 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 5000 dpi Gaming Mouse

Pros: - Ergonomic - Pretty - Worked in the beginning

Cons: - It broke in a week... With limited use. I would say, after about 5 hours of use - horrible RMA process (required to pay shipping for defective item and no chance of reimbursement)

Overall Review: A lot of people complained about it feeling cheap but I thought it was very comfortable to hold and it molded to the hand very nicely. Got this mouse free with my most recent build. I have two gaming mice already that are awesome so I let my girlfriend use this one. She maybe games 4 hours a week, tops. This thing broke the first week, completely unresponsive. Tried it on my old computer build that she's using now, and my new one, nothing works—lights don't even come up nor does windows register a device plugging in. Their automated RMA system pointed out I have to pay shipping to and from Asus for the replacement. I contacted them pointing out how irrational that was since it is under warranty, they said they could pay replacement shipping back to me but I'd still have to cover return. It is just that extra annoyance that is more insult to injury after the mouse died so quickly. This is 2015, with competition doing so much better on their RMA processes, they got to kind of step it up or they'll be left behind in their customer satisfaction rating. Especially since I just paid top dollar for their Rampage V Extreme motherboard. Help your customer out, seriously.
