Update to my previous review

SilverStone Argon Series AR02 CPU Cooler with 92mm Fan for socket LGA775/1155/1156/1366/2011, AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2
SilverStone Argon Series AR02 CPU Cooler with 92mm Fan for socket LGA775/1155/1156/1366/2011, AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2

Pros: see previous

Cons: see previous

Overall Review: This is an update to my previous review because a user asked a question but I can't see how to answer it. The dimensions of this cooler are: 130 mm > height off of motherboard 90 mm > perpendicular to airflow 75 mm > parallel to airflow It's still working great. I have two fans mounted to mine, both blowing into the cooler (this worked better than push-pull). Update to mounting instructions in case you don't see my 1st review: 1) X-shaped piece goes on back of mobo. 2) Knurled nuts w/ threaded rods on each end go through front of mobo to hold X-shaped piece. Use fiber washers between knurled nuts and board surface! 3) Flat bars go from one knurled nut threaded rod to the other (will only fit one way). 4) Flat bar threaded rods point UP. 5) Multi-angled bar goes from one flat bar threaded rod to the other ON TOP OF the cooler block (this clamps the cooler to the CPU).

Most Critical Review

Bitten by the 'wrong power cord' bug

Famous Brand 27" LCD Monitor 5 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI TSS-27X11 LED
Famous Brand 27" LCD Monitor 5 ms 1920 x 1080 D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI TSS-27X11 LED

Pros: good price, great image quality, very lightweight

Cons: screen is ultra-reflective, monitor type (HP 2711) not provided (had to get from Win Device Manager) so couldn't find online resources/manual/etc., got wrong power cord

Overall Review: The monitor quality is great. Very beautiful, big image @ very good price and if I can get Newegg to guarantee me the right power cord I'll buy another. Unfortunately I got bitten by the 'wrong power cord' snafu mentioned by many others - hence the 3 stars. I got a 40W 'universal laptop power supply' w/ four interchangeable tips from Best Buy for $40 and it worked great (per HP specs the original p.s. is 40W). Of course this means I spent $240 - which would have gotten me a brand new 27" :\. Also the screen is so highly reflective I had to hang a blanket in front of a window on an opposing wall. Turns out screen anti-glare solutions are pricey as well so I'm just learning to deal with it.

Amazing value

AMD A8-5600K - A-Series APU Trinity Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 100W AMD Radeon HD 7560D Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic - AD560KWOHJBOX

Pros: Low price. Nice AMD management software, fast, above-decent graphics

Cons: none

Overall Review: My new build is finally running well enough to stress test. Prime95's four worker threads got 18, 19, 13, and 8 tests completed in 36 minutes running at 3.8Ghz (utility-managed tuning). Definitely a great value and another win for AMD.

Great performace and durability

PLANTRONICS Voyager Pro HD Black Bluetooth Headset
PLANTRONICS Voyager Pro HD Black Bluetooth Headset

Pros: Sound quality (audio and mic), noise blocking, bluetooth range, durability

Cons: Battery life

Overall Review: This is absolutely the best headset I've ever owned, and I've used headsets since way back when you plugged them into a 3.5mm jack on your cordless hardline phone. Plantronics have always been my favorites (my former 'absolute best' was a Voyager Pro Plus). Aside from a somewhat short battery life (~5hrs. talking) it has never caused one minute of concern. The 'on ear' sensor is a ton more useful than it seemed at first glance, and it works perfectly every time. What impressed me most of all, though, was that laying in a driving rainstorm overnight in the parking lot at work after I'd dropped it while leaving didn't seem to bother it one bit. It didn't work at first, but after drying for 12 hours and recharging I can't tell it ever happened. Yes that probably shortened its life, and obviously isn't recommended, but I've had devices fail with far less abuse than that. Well done, Plantronics. I'm a customer for life.

I'm actually kind of falling in love with this thing

BlueAnt z9i Red Bluetooth Headset
BlueAnt z9i Red Bluetooth Headset

Pros: My first DSP headset and by far the best one overall I've ever owned (covers mainly Jabras and Plantronics). I re-recorded all my voice tags last night in the quiet and today voice-dialed three numbers driving around town, window all the way down, heater blowing in my face, and radio on (not loud, but on), with no cupping of the headset or yelling. Pretty impressive in my experience. People on the other end report all's well and my volume is ReaLLy loud. I get a chirp when it connects to my phone which almost hurts my ear. Range is good. Went out on my back porch tonight (maybe 15 feet) talking and lost signal. Again good compared to others. And in addition to all that this thing seriously looks great. It's like a designer headset. Today I just found the 'tie clip' which lets you clip it to <whatever> when not in use (so you don't have to be one of those guys in the grocery store with a bluetooth in your ear). It's stylish and sounds great and I'm very satisfied :).

Cons: Only one I can think of is that one must switch to the 'high' noise-canceling mode (they call it 'voice isolation'), but listeners say that mode is so much better than standard that maybe it should be set by default. Small con really lol. This is a nice set.

Overall Review: For a guy very prone to buyer's remorse I'm surprised how convinced I am this was money well spent. Highly recommended!
