Excellent fan12/9/2020 9:16:36 AM

Overall Review: Cool design and uniquely shaped blades. Love the fact that the fan comes off the frame for easy cleaning. I've used this feature a few times over the years and it's quite handy. The fan itself is quiet and has ample airflow. I have the 120mm and 140mm versions. Would definitely recommend

Great as a USB extension10/18/2018 7:55:45 AM

Pros: I primarily got this as a USB extension cable and it performs this function quite well. The three feet was enough for me and I personally like the extra thickness of this cable. The connectors are good and nothing is loose. I did try this to transfer some data and there was a slight speed loss. However I understand that it all depends on the ports, drivers and other things.. This may happen with most aftermarket USB products as USB compatibility varies greatly. Although the "U" stands for Universal, this isn't the case for most USB products when it comes to data transfer.

Cons: Slight speed loss during data transfer

Slim, but packs a punch!10/18/2018 7:47:15 AM

Pros: I love the thin flat design and the tiny connectors. Easy to use and roll up for storage / transport. The audio quality is great as well. No frills packaging and was priced right. A year later and it still works like new. Can't go wrong.

Cons: None

All my Rosewill HDMI cables work great!10/18/2018 7:41:56 AM

Pros: They work very well! Great HD signal for both audio and video at full resolution and no distortions.

Cons: None

Overall Review: No fancy packaging and the price is right for a product that simply works. The connectors are not bulky, they plug in well and stay put. The cables are medium thickness and not too stiff. I have these HDMI cables in 10 and 15 foot versions and they all work great. Priced very well and have good reviews. I'm glad I went with this pack.

No frills power strip3/1/2018 9:45:46 AM

Pros: This is a basic no-frills power strip which works and is exactly as advertised. Three foot cord, 6 outlets and a trip / power switch. There are two holes on the back from mounting which is a plus. The plug is straight, so may not fit behind furniture. The outlets are facing away from the power switch, so plugging in a larger brick on the end would not block the ones next to it.

Cons: - 3 foot cord may not be long enough for some - Straight plug. Angled one would've been preferred.

Overall Review: This is not a surge protector! For those needing extra outlets, this is great for the price. However for more functionality such as surge protection and USB outlets another model may be more suitable.

Basic power cable that works!3/28/2017 8:27:54 AM

Pros: This is a basic power cable that works. I needed a replacement since I damaged mine by accident and couldn't power my desktop. This cable came in quick and brought my desktop back to life. Both plugs fit well and stay put. The wall outlet plug is a grounded 3-prong. It is 3 feet long and is all black. I don't mind the short length as I use a surge protector anyways as everyone should.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I wish I had bought one of these sooner to keep as a spare.

Excellent 90-degree SATA cable3/28/2017 8:18:58 AM

Pros: Excellent quality SATA cable! It works well as it should. I like the 90-degree connector which was great in my case set up since the HD is close the the case wall. It easily plugs in and stays snug. These do not have the clip which is what I wanted. The cable easily bends which allows it to be easily routed throughout the case. It is actually 18 1/4 inches long for those who need the extra bit of length.

Cons: None

Overall Review: These are well made and great for the price. I have purchased a few Roseweill SATA cables over the years and never had any issues.

Another working cable by Rosewill3/28/2017 7:59:50 AM

Pros: The cable works as advertised. I like the black color vs others that are blue, grey, or white. Cat 6 is great and compliant with the latest speeds and specs. The clip protectors are placed well and should prolong the cable use preventing clip breakage. Overall, another nice cable by Rosewill.

Cons: Not a deal breaker by any means, but the cable is a bit stiff and retains a bit of the coil shape since it's packed rolled up. The clip protectors are also a bit stiff.

Overall Review: Niether of the "cons" will prevent me from buying another one of these cables since the value is great and they do work well.

A fast drive after a troubleshooting hickup3/7/2016 4:36:16 PM

Pros: Got this SP S55 480GB drive about a month ago and after some testing and trying different configurations I am now happy to report my results. Initially, I tested this drive externally via a USB 3.0 port and got much slower speeds than advertised – although still faster than a conventional rotating hard drive. Then I tried connecting it directly to the motherboard via different SATA ports and still got slower than expected results. So I contacted Silicon Power for help. They were eager to help and have forwarded my case to their tech department. After exchanging some technical info and following their advice I am now able to get the advertised speeds. Here are my final test results: CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 x64 READ = 538 MB/s WRITE = 474 MB/s * Advertised speeds are R=540 / W=480 As you can see my final results are nearly what SP claims this SSD should perform at. I got these results by testing it on my self-built PC running Windows 7 off of another SSD connected to a Z68 motherboard. The reason I initially got slower speeds was because I connected this drive to a slower SATA 2 port. Even when I tried the other available (Marvell controller) SATA 3 port I still got slower speeds because it wasn’t as compatible with this SSD. Finally when I connected it to the designated SATA 3 port running off the main Z68 controller, I achieved the faster advertised speeds. Connecting it to any USB 3.0 port still got me slower results (R=461 & W=144).

Cons: Some compatibility problems. See review..

Overall Review: I can’t speak for longevity yet since I’ve only had it for about a month, but I will make sure to update this if I have any problems and as time goes on. SSD drives are rapidly growing larger in capacity, becoming cheaper, faster and more efficient. Now that they’re better and more affordable, anyone would benefit from upgrading their main OS drive to an SSD. I’ve been using SSD drives for a few years now and there’s no going back!

Great quality SATA cables!2/17/2016 11:09:05 AM

Pros: These SATA cables are great! For my needs and most other people, 18 inches is a perfect length to reach from any device to the motherboard. The build quality is great. They feel like they will last many connect & disconnect actions. These are flat and are in a simple black color. Although they lack latches, they do firmly connect when plugged-in and there is a slight click felt when inserted - so they won't easily pop-out on their own. Some people like the latches, but I guess it all depends on your needs. Overall, a great cable that simply works.

Cons: None at all.

Overall Review: I have purchased a few different Coboc cables in the past and they always perform as advertised and never disappoint. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

It is Blazing fast like it's name!2/3/2016 9:42:37 PM

Pros: Although the transfer speeds are nowhere advertised, this drive really is Blazing fast. After testing this USB 3.0 (128GB) drive on my Windows 7 PC, I now understand why Silicon Power called it Blaze. The file transfer speeds are quite fast! I tried moving files to and from the drive and this drive passed with flying colors. Here is what I’ve experienced: Windows 7 test was performed transferring two video files (2.4GB - 2.9GB) READ = 163 MB/s WRITE = 68 MB/s CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 READ = 157 MB/s WRITE = 69 MB/s - all tests were performed through a USB 3.0 port

Cons: None

Overall Review: Very impressive speeds for an inexpensive USB 3.0 drive! It does show up as having 117GB of usable space which is quite normal. The entire drive case is made of plastic and feels super light-weight. Mine is the dark blue color which is pretty nice but they also come in black and pink. One part is matte, while the other is smooth providing good grip. It is a cap-less design and has a retractable USB connector. It slides out fairly easy and clicks towards the end, so it won’t slide back in by mistake as you try to plug it in. To slide it back in, simply push down with your thumb and slide it back. The drive has two small holes on the end to put it on a lanyard, but the lanyard isn’t provided. This flash drive does have a red LED light that flashes while it’s being accessed. SP also provides a lifetime warranty, but it is mentioned that it needs to be registered. Overall a great USB 3.0 drive, with no cap to loose, fast speeds and respectable warranty. I would recommend it to anyone who needs good inexpensive portable storage. I was provided this drive for testing purposes in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I’ve been building and using computers for well over a decade now and have lots of experience with various storage devices. I am quite impressed with this this drive’s performance!

Great for Mirroring and Air Play12/31/2015 8:24:05 AM

Pros: Awesome little stream box that works best if you have an Apple device to send media from through Mirroring or Air Play. Got the latest version of the 3rd Gen Apple TV and it had the latest update already installed. Was packaged like new and looked like it was refurbished by Apple. Came with the remote, power cable and the manual in Apple packaging.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Great experience with TechBlink (the seller)! They shipped super fast and well protected. The (refurbished) Apple TV was packaged like new! Got an amazing deal ($40) from them during a promotion.

Amazing cooler!9/24/2015 7:10:37 PM

Pros: Amazing temp drops. At idle (stock speeds) my i7-2600K went from 36c (stock intel cooler) to 30c and to 34c OC to 4.5GHz. At load (playing Crysis 2 or BF3 for an hour) the temps went down from 57-63c to 43-47c. Under same load (gaming) conditions but processor overclocked to 4.5GHz the EVO only warms up to a cool 55c (max) while maintaining around a 1,500 RPM fan speed - SIMPLY AMAZING for an AIR cooler!!! I've read a lot of pro reviews for comparison and decided to go with the EVO (air cooling) as it has very similar performance next to the (liquid) Corsair H80 and Antec Kuhler 620. Simply the BEST 120mm air cooler on the market in its price range!!! It is VERY BIG (158.5mm tall), but easily fits into my Corsair Carbide 300R with about half an inch room left to the side panel. It is also on the lighter side compared to other 120mm coolers. I used the supplied thermal compound and am very happy with the low temps. People have mentioned that it's not 100% tight, therefore it rotates. This is more of a positive allowing you to rotate it towards of the rear case fan - if not lined up already. Otherwise, it is 100% flush on the processor. Depending on the motherboard, it might block the last RAM slot. Mine got blocked by the cooler fan but not a problem since I'll never use that slot. Most people will never reach or exceed 8GB use therefore not needing that slot. Overall, an AMAZING cooler!!!

Cons: None!

Keeps laptop cool10/27/2014 9:46:51 AM

Pros: Great little cooler. It is very slim and lightweight. The fan is super quiet. Although it doesn't seem to be pushing a lot of air, it still keeps things cool. The constant airflow prevents your laptop from getting hot. Usually my laptop by itself gets hot and it's fan becomes very loud, but using the cooler along the laptop was quiet the entire time. Using the cooler on the desk helps typing as the cooler sits at a slight angle. it also helps with more airflow. Using the cooler on the lap (sitting on the couch) was also comfortable and the laptop stayed cool and quiet. Using it on the bed with a blanket also works. Even though the bottom airflow screen is somewhat obstructed, the fan still manages to stay quiet and cool the laptop which otherwise would get extremely hot sitting on the bed by itself. Another plus is the dual USB power plug. In order to power the cooler's fan you need to plug the provided USB cord into any USB port on your laptop. The plug has a built-in extender on the end which helps keep the USB port available (see pics). So while you have the cooler plugged into the laptop, you can still insert a flash drive into the end of this cooler's plug. The plug is also fairly small so it doesn't block the adjacent USB port. Overall a great cooler and definitely worth the $20 retail. You can usually find it for less, on sale or with a rebate.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Small footprint, but not a con. It's size may be deceiving as it's frame is a bit smaller than a 15.6" (average size) laptop. It actually fits the laptop quite well. and the laptop's rubber feet to land on the cooler's frame. The lip at the end of the cooler prevents the laptop from sliding off. It's fairly small, but should fit most 15.6" (or smaller) laptops just fine. The bottom of the cooler has little slots to store the USB power cord in to prevent it from dangling when not in use. Get this cooler to prevent heat damage to your laptop and prolong it's lifespan. If you're tired of your laptop being loud and whiny this will solve that problem!

PNY 128GB SDXC Elite Performance3/19/2014 3:39:21 PM

Pros: This flash card is FAST!!! I tested it on a Windows 7 laptop (Leneovo Y570) and was impressed with the transfer speeds! ** Windows (average) speeds: Read (copy from) = 75 MB/s Write (copy to) = 45 MB/s ** CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 speeds: Read = 80 MB/s Write = 62 MB/s Although the advertized speeds say "up to 90 MB/s (Read)", the real world results will vary based on your computer's configuration. Still, very impressive write speeds (which is most important) for a card in this price range. I bought it here on NewEgg for sixty bucks. Thank you NewEgg! ** Very important ** To reach maximum speeds you must be using a latest SD card slot that supports SDXC. Also, if you're using a flash card reader/adapter, make sure it's USB 3.0 and that it's inserted into a USB 3.0 port. Anything older will results in slow transfer speeds.

Cons: Only one year of warranty unlike most of the competitors who provide 3, 5 or "lifetime" warranties. Other than that None.

Overall Review: I had a problem with my 128GB PNY USB 3.0 drive that needed replacement. PNY made me pay to ship it to them. Would've been nice if shipping was covered both ways, especially given that they have a short (1 yr) warranty period. ** Very important ** To reach maximum speeds you must be using a latest SD card slot that supports SDXC. Also, if you're using a flash card reader/adapter, make sure it's USB 3.0 and that it's inserted into a USB 3.0 port. Anything older will results in slow transfer speeds.

Good little drive1/13/2014 4:02:40 PM

Pros: The drive is FAST and reaches (and usually exceeds) advertized speeds in Windows 7 and USB 3.0. Just like any other drive larger files move faster and smaller files move slower, but that's to be expected. Pros: Fast, light weight, big capacity options (mine is 64 GB). It does have a red activity LED, but it's very dim and is not bothersome at all. Also has a key-chain hole, but no lanyard.Overall no complaints as long as it continues to work.

Cons: The materials and looks are somewhat on the cheaper side - but does seem solid.

Pretty good 2.1 bar5/21/2013 10:12:50 PM

Pros: I've read quite a few reviews and for the money it was either the Vizio VHT215 (preferred) or this Samsung HW-E450. The Vizio (based on reviews) probably has a bit better sound quality, but is about $40 more; also refurbished (elsewhere). So when I saw this Samsung for $150 (at elsewhere) with free shipping and not tax I was sold. The sound bar comes with an RCA audio cable and a short USB extension cable. But it does NOT have and HDMI or optical cables - so have one ready. Also NO batteries (2xAAA) with the remote. It's packaged well and also includes the hanging bracket and a manual. The manual was only helpful to connect the Subwoofer to the bar (mine wasn't synced) and to connect the iPhone to the bar via BlueTooth - both were easy. The rest of the manual sucks! Took me a few hours to figure out the right connection so it turns on and off with the TV and it's remote - but it DOES work. First, you need to have an ARC (Audio Return Channel) HDMI on your TV. Then you have to make sure that you enable "device sync/communication" on your TV (if equipped). Panasonic has Vierra connect, Samsung has Anynet, etc.. Connect an HDMI cable into the ARC (on TV) and into the HDMI OUT (yes out) on the soundbar. Turn on the soundbar, press/turn on "anynet" on it and press input intil the display reads "TV ARC". If it initially doesn't work, try to leave it on that input and turn the bar off then on and/or turn anynet off then on to reset the signal. Also, try switching inputs until you reach "TV ARC" again - took me a few tries.. Like I said it works for me! Now the sound bar turns on and off with the TV and the volume adjusts with the same (TV/cable) remote. I called Samsung and they were clueless. The quality of the soundbar is great! MUCH better then the TV speakers. It's obviously no 5.1 home theater, but great for a slim bar as it fills a large room. The subwoofer gives off some nice bass and the bar is quite loud and clear. The remote has all the right buttons - bass adjustment, preset equalizer options and two 3d sound levels. The sound is quite good and the sub compliments it well. The BlueTooth music streaming works good too. Overall I'm very happy with this soundbar and would definitely recommend it. It's a great buy at $150!

Cons: No HDMI or optical cable and no batteries for the remote.

Great mouse!10/5/2012 7:23:02 AM

Pros: It is very comfortable to hold. It's a bit smaller than the average mouse so it's a great fit to travel with. The wireless receiver is small and stores right inside the mouse. It only operates on one AA battery and does last 8-10 months which it great. It works very well for me from 10 ft away. The buttons are excellent. The right and left click buttons press with ease are fairly quiet. The back (side) button works well also. The scroll wheel moves smoothly and silently. It also clicks sideways for side scrolling and center click on it is more profound so it's easy to know what you're doing. Overall a great performer. The mouse itself is very ergonomic and the side-grips and a plus fro look and feel.

Cons: None at all

Overall Review: Love this mouse! Owned it for over a year now and no problems. I have the white one which is more of a "pearl" white. It has a battery indicator light and also works on any surface. Highly recommend this mouse.

FAST6/14/2012 8:08:45 PM

Pros: So far a great drive. Super fast, very quiet and stays cool (under 30c). It's also lighter and thinner than any other (spin) hard drive I've ever seen. 1TB platter is also a plus.

Cons: None!

Overall Review: I was skeptical getting this drive based on so many negative reviews about Seagate. They had their fair share of bad batches and old technology that is since improved. This new drive has the new generation platter and controller technology and is blazing fast for a spin drive. I decided to give it a shot and am very happy with it's performance! Lenovo Y560-0646-2EU11/26/2010 3:05:44 PM

Pros: Simply AMAZING!!! This is an excellent machine. Extremely fast and powerful processor and video card. It screams through games and applications! The screen is nice and bright and never heats up. Excellent keyboard; responsive and comfortable. Same thing with the track-pad, BIG and has good "mouse" buttons. conveniently placed volume and On/Off/Suspend buttons. Superb speakers as well. What more could you ask for? GREAT LAPTOP!!!

Cons: NO CONS!!! The battery life isn't all that great. Not really a con though, since most laptops average about 3.5 hours. This one is around 3 hours on average settings and with internet use. Gaming will cut the battery time in half. It does show fingerprints, but you'll get used to it as they all blend in - again, not a con.

Overall Review: The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because mine came with the slower ram - not a performance issue though. Also, would prefer a longer battery life. It is a very powerful machine, so the battery life is understandable. To get long battery life you need to get a core i5 and shared video. There is no need to have a 1080p higher res screen because the difference would not be noticeable on this small of a screen. The video card is powerful enough to handle any higher res if you connect to a TV (via HDMI) - which works great. Screen swishing works smooth and easy to switch via the "function" keys. I did not buy it here. Got an AMAZING deal though Microsoft and paid only five forty nine. This laptop is a powerhouse and considering what I paid, it doesn't get better than that! It is still worth it's normal price between eight fifty and one thousand. I LOVE THIS LAPTOP!!!

Excellent quality.4/9/2010 12:31:09 PM

Pros: Excellent subwoofer! It sound great, very deep bass and it looks good too! Should be in the over $200 range but NEWEGG rocks!

Cons: The only con is that it does not have a specific plug in like on the receiver. It does have that connection, but it's split into two plugs.

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD103UJ4/23/2009 11:21:07 AM

Pros: So far a great drive! It is quiet. With my case open, I could barely hear it working, especially compared to my older one. Based on the professional reviews (Google it) seems like the better drive on the market today. It is faster and cheaper than the competition! Runs cool too. Recognized by BIOS right away. It is recognized in Disk Manager too, but has to be Allocated/Formatted in order for windows to make it usable.

Cons: No cons.

Overall Review: Based on the reviews here I will keep my fingers crossed for the drive to last. But that is to be expected from any product, a certain percentage fails. That is why we have warranty and the AMAZING service on NewEgg. My drive arrived in 45 hours. Ordered on 04/20/2009 01:12 PM and it arrived on 04/22/2009 10:06AM. NewEgg Rocks!!!
