Pros: Very stable, runs COD4, ARMA2 at full settings.
Cons: Has trouble in FSX with added scenery packs but this could also be due to only having a single video card. Fans are a little loud but they are stock and they keep it cool.
Overall Review: Asus P5N-D motherboard
Produces Random Noise
Pros: I was very happy with these speakers for a while. Good bass. I'm a causal listener and they were fine.
Cons: These speakers started producing a noise that I would describe as sounding like the noise you hear when wind blows by a microphone. I was able to get it to stop by pulling the jack out of the sound card and touching the tip - it was as if I had to discharge a static build-up or something. Sometimes that helped. Other times, it didn't. The sound was very noticeable when no other sound was being produced but could even be heard when playing music if you listened for it. You didn't have to listen very hard to hear it.
Overall Review: It is interesting that in all of the negative reviews on this product, the manufacturer has not responded. I checked the 'mfgr responses' checkbox when I searched the reviews and there were NO reviews.
Fat Finger Errors
Pros: Washable - I guess - haven't tried that. Good keyboard feel.
Cons: Too easy to inadvertently hit more than one key. Just slight pressure on an adjacent key will result in both keys being pressed. The shape of the individual keys might contribute to the errors. The keys on most keyboards are tapered a little but these keys are more angular. I'm not sure but they may be more sensitive adding to the frequency of double key presses. It was too annoying. I stopped using this keyboard.
Overall Review: Price has increased since I bought it. At $35 it was cheap enough to try it. I liked it at first and even bought another one. But then stopped using them because of the con's listed above.
Pros: Nice big screen.
Cons: Can't remove the stand 'arm. You can remove the base.
Overall Review: I didn't see it in the other reviews but it is possible to mount this monitor on an arm. The instructions don't even mention it. But there are four holes on the back that will accept the standard machine screws.
EnGenius Admin Console Access Flakey
Pros: Usually works in a 2000 sq ft residential house.
Cons: Unable to open router admin console when connected via cable. Was able to open admin console via wireless connection but even that is inconsistent. In one instance, I was able to log in but as soon as I clicked a tab to go to another admin page, I lost the connection and was not able to reconnect. I've never had that problem with Linksuck, DD-WRT, Netgear, others. I even tried their Wizard and it couldn't reach their router.
Overall Review: Signed up for the EnGenius forum at http://engeniusforum.com. You have to wait for a moderator to approve you, which for a normal vendor would be immediate. Something is off about this company. I wouldn't buy another EnGenius product. [Gave myself average tech knowledge due my network ability although overall I would be higher.]
