pretty decent

Pros: Great overclocker. With a arctic cooler 4 i can get this guy to sit at 3.9GHz without blinking an eye. A stronger power supply could probably take it up to 4.0 stable. I can run it at 3.9 all day with prime95, so no doubts at all.
Cons: Without an aftermarket heatsink this sucker runs HOT. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra xx bucks. It's Completely worth it. Also, don't be surprised if you cant OC properly with a sub $xxx board.
Overall Review: WoooHooo!! This thing is more entertaining than futurama.
needs time, at the least

Pros: Beautiful interface, no doubt about it. There are a few system changes from xp that will be very positive for interconnectivity in the future, yet i really do emphasize the word "FUTURE"
Cons: Unfortunately, this software is just not worth the extra money. I've installed it on a few systems and keep finding myself thinking how nice it will be when a high quality crackd version gets out. The boys at m$ sure know how to bloat this software up with non-essentials and i would really like to see a more streamlined program
Overall Review: Maybe with some more time and some major "weeding" by m$ this could be a nice OS. Unfortunately if you look at a nice linux install with beryl icon sets and a a nicely skined UI (aero-ish effects are included btw), it pretty much shames vista. Honestly, if some nerds programming for free can do it, why can't MS??????? MS needs to get their stuff together and start hustling!
long term review

Pros: Obviously the bass quality is quite good with a lot of power and headroom. Satellites are quite nicely built with tight response and even sound distribution. With a GOOD QUALITY sound card this is easily the best 2.1 system available. Compared to the kl!psch 2.1's, there are ups and down, but they are quite comparable.
Cons: The speakers lack tweeters. While the have EXCELLENT response for single speaker designs (they really do) they do slightly lack ultra high freq. output. This isn't really much of a problem though :) Second, the bass is very hard to control correctly. It takes you a few weeks to really tune it in correctly. Last, without a nice soundcard (absolute minimum of an audigy SE) this system will suck. With an AC97 chipset you will live in prodigal mudville. Absolutely awful sound reproduction.
Overall Review: Having now owned the product for some time, i wanted to write another review. I would strongly advise you to closely read this before purchasing OR posting a bad review of the product. In addition to a nice sound card you MUST adjust the sound card output accordingly. Control the bass output frequency!!!! Topping out the bass boost func in creative sofware at 40-60hz is important. Keep the boost down to 10-15%. I know it sounds a little wierd to say to turn on bass boost for these speakers, but it lets you control the freq. output and THEN you just dial the bass up or down on the control knob. Last, adjust the output and sampling rates accordingly when you desire high quality music. By doing all this you really have a solid system.
Gooooood stuff

Pros: Lordy wow, what a monster! Has enough headroom to be able to play very well at higher volumes. Clarity of tone and overall accuracy are surprisingly good for PC speakers. Not to beat a dead dog, but yes, the bass is absolutely crushing, and that's a good thing.
Cons: Needs a good sound card to sound even remotely acceptable. Using an onboard AC'97 will literally make you cringe. CRINGE. LED is a bit annoying, what's the deal with flippin stupid LED's these day's.
Overall Review: I can't emphasize a good sound card enough here. Absolute minimum should be an Audigy SE. It's only like 30 bucks. Without it, you are doomed to a muddy pit of musical death.
