Pros: I feel like my CPU is on vacation in Antartica. Athlon X2 64 5000+ BE OC'd to 3.2ghz at 1.4v Idles at 24c!!!! Load doesnt even come close to breaking 40c. Depending on what im doin' it sways in the 31-37 region. Makes me believe in air cooling again. Fanspeed stays around 2400-2600 rpms which is strange cuz it says the max is 2200. Whisper quite at this speed too, maybe thats cuz my HD 4850 fan that sounds like a leer jet leaving Kennedy.
Cons: The icee it made me was cherry instead of blue raspberry.
Overall Review: I believe that this is acually the fan that keeps the processor on Mr. Freeze's suit cool.
sucks donkey johnson
Pros: What's "the opposite of everything", Alex?
Cons: Doesn't work with the Toshiba sattelite drive i was trying to pull files off of. Tried it as master and wouldnt post, tried it as slave and windows wouldn't start. Ran out of ideas and im gonna be forced to mod it to see if it will function
Overall Review: Kinamax said that they would ship me a replacment one if i paid 9 bucks for shipping. Is it coming in a gold plated box? cuz i only paid 5 buck for it. Yeh lemme go pay u guys twice what i payed for the actual product for probably another faulty one. Newegg shld remove this from the site. Kinamax sucks.
Does its job and does it well
Pros: Solid board, even though i got the open box one. Northbridge stays at a cool 27c with my OC'd Athlon X2 5000 BE of course, no FSB increase helps out. The pipes look sweet. 4 pci-e slots. lots of room for expansion. Overclocks well. Picked up the right auto settings for my g skill 4gb 6400 set. No annoying dancing christmas lights like my Neo 2.
Cons: Pipes are about an Angstrom's length away from my HD 4850, theres no hardware on the card near it though. Heat sink fins were a bit bent when it got here, but then again, thats what u get for open box.
Overall Review: A strong foundation for an awesome rig. 790fx chipset rules all.
It will ruin my life
Pros: Best card out there for the money. Every benchmark I've read online shows this card whoopin some serious pooter on the nvidia midrange cards. I've maxxed out on everything but crysis so far (1280X1024) on a 26" LCD TV, but overclocking is coming soon. Then I'll see what this thing can really do.
Cons: I'm a college student and will probably spend my textbook money on a second one.
Overall Review: It does run hot at stock settings (60 idle and 84 load), but I've got a Vcool and 4 profiles for the fanfix and I keep it just under 60c when gaming and 49c at idle. I've also got 5 case fans in a full, so in a more cramped case u cld run into airflow problems.
