A nice upgrade, not referring to Win7!

Pros: It is very quiet. The fans are nearly off when it is at idle and while I do not play processor crunching games, it stayed quiet while converting an HD video file using nearly 100% of two cores and 25% of the other two. I used a small DTV rabbit ears and it works great with the tuner. Currently I have it hooked up to a massive 55" HD TV but today I'm looking on Newegg for an actual monitor. I used it with a 720P flatscreen and then my 1080P Sony and it did not fit well on the 720. I also wanted this one for the blu ray drive. While it is read only and I have yet to play with it, it was an important feature. Oodles of power but that is compared to my 3 yr old Mac.
Cons: Graphics card is not adequate for any high intensity games. Haven't opened it up to see how easy it would be to replace. My main game is Everquest 2 and it runs that easily.
Overall Review: This is my first PC in years because I'm tired of dual booting a Mac to play Everquest 2. It was the best deal I could find with all of the options I was looking for. I'm still an OSX guy and find Windows 7 quite annoying. Maybe I'm just getting used to it.
Best processor on the market

Comments: 64bit (winXP 64 is available now!), relatively inexpensive, fast, cool and reliable. Definately faster than my 3000+. With SATA RAID 0, I can uncompress a gigabyte of data in seconds. I certainly can't understand why anyone buys intel.
Awesome performance for the price

Comments: I have this in a Gigabye motherboard and it runs everything great (HL2, Everquest 2 all the time). It is a bit slower than the 3500 in my second computer but the price difference makes this chip a bargain. Runs cool and quiet and I'm sure it can overclock easily but I have not needed to nor tried.
No problems here

Comments: I have two computers, each with one of these motherboards in it. Never had a problem with them and they were simple to install and set up.
Economical Performance

Comments: This card runs everything I need it to from the older MOHAA to Half Life 2 without a problem. My other computer has an FX5500 and it cannot come close to the performance of this card in Everquest 2. It is a bit cheaper with only 128mb RAM but that is not a handicap in anything but the highest resolutions.
