STAYS COOL

Pros: Main reason why I made this purchase is the fact that I absolutely hate manually adjusting the fan speed on my BFG 8800GT from 29%(default) to 80%, which got irritatingly loud to the point of insanity because if I didn't; the temps would go 95c!!! I really don't care for the performance of this card which is a small but noticeable increase from the old one. At 95c, my games would be quite choppy and frame rates would start dipping if left at the default speed so I had no choice but to raise it. Here's a comparison @ 40% silent fan speeds of both cards. BFG 8800GT @ 40% silent speed (default 29%) Idles @ 58c and full on load @ 87c EVGA GTX 260 216 CORE @ 40% silent speed (default) Idles @ 47c and full on load @ 72c That's a 15c drop in temp! I'm very excited! As soon as the temp goes over 70c, the fan goes up to 47% automatically, which still remains quiet. Those who claimed that the temp maxes out @ 60c on default speed must of played their games for 10 seconds! Ridiculous
Cons: This thing is huge! Barely fit in my mid-tower and had to lower it in diagonally, but the good thing is the two 6 pins are on top.
Overall Review: The fact that I never have to fiddle with adjusting anything because the fan is silent yet temps stay relatively cool makes this purchase worth every penny! For those of you who like to overclock; you also get EVGA Precision Tool which I believe is 10 times better than nTune due to the fact that you can SAVE your settings and will not revert back to default! This card overclocks really well. You can easily overclock it to equal or even surpass the GTX 280!, granted you need to raise the fan speed to at least 70% so the GPU doesn't overheat. I also received Far Cry 2 in the box already included, which I could not install at all because for some reason, during the install it goes to microsoft visual+++ after and the whole installation just stalls with no activity. Maybe it's my drive and maybe it could be the game itself or maybe it might be the microsoft visual+++ nonsense. Overall pleased with this upgrade.
Very Glitchy Motherboard and Asrock's Rebate Online Form is Horrid. Painful Experience Overall

Pros: Beautiful Motherboard that screams performance but looks are deceiving.
Cons: Where do I start? 1. I tested all my new components on my current rig and all worked flawlessly, almost plug and play. New components are GSkill 16gb DDR4 3200Mhz, MSI GTX 1080Ti, CM 650W PSU, i7 7700K, 250MB M.2 NVME, and 1 TB HD. 2. After installing everything to the new Mobo, turned the power on to install Win10 and crashed with a blue screen. Removed the GTX 1080Ti, then it started working then another crash in the middle of installing Win10, removed 1 Ram stick and started working again and another crash right after installing Win10. Wouldn't go into Windows, decided to pull the HD whereby was able to get into Desktop, finally. Attempted many tries, hours upon hours of trial and error. 3. Put back all components, then installed all drivers, then crashed again with more blue screens, pulled the HD and started working again with constant crashing into blue screens. No overclocking every attempted and didn't even cross my mind as I was having massive issues with this terrible motherboard. 4. Thought it was a stability issue, so flashed the bios with new version and finally this thing took its last breath. It won't even turn on anymore. Way past 30 days so can't even RMA this thing.
Overall Review: Why did I take so long to power on my new build? All the components were working perfectly on my current rig so I thought I can wait till I had 2 solid days dedicated on completing this project which I greatly regret, not to mention all the time and money I spent (I work 60 hrs a week). I should've tested this Mobo as soon as I received it but had very little time to pull the trigger. I am to blame for not checking but this has never happened to me that i can recall. I tried the Rebate Online submission and the website crashed which took my info and I wasn't able to register online as it stated that my product number belongs to someone else. I WILL NEVER AGAIN GO NEAR ASROCK AND EVEN IF IT'S GIVEN TO ME FOR FREE, I'LL IMMEDIATELY THROW IT IN THE TRASH, AS IT TOOK AWAY SO MANY DAYS AND HOURS OF MY LIFE NOT TO MENTION THE $150 I WASTED ON THIS LIFE-SUCKING RUBBISH. ALL MY NEW COMPONENTS ARE STORED AWAY AND I WILL HAVE TO RESTART THIS PROJECT.
EVGA 9800GT

Pros: stock speed idle temp 600/1500/900 (70c) load (95c) fan speed default 30% ------------NOW------------- oc speed idle temp 660/1650/1900 (47c) load (59c) incredible! i didn't realize this zalman would be this effective in dropping my temps even with the card overclocked! easy to follow instructions.
Cons: not enough ram sinks for the mosfets. needed 4 additional.
Overall Review: purchased this at my local pc parts store. i let the ram sinks cure for 24hrs without installing the video card into my system per zalman instructions. after reading all the reviews here on newegg, i was still hesitant to fork out cash to purchase this item because alot of people have the tendency to inflate their reviews for whatever reasons but i'm glad to have made the investment. i'm still amazed with this product and have made me a believer!
piece of junk

Pros: absolutely NONE!
Cons: cables were double the price when i purchased it a month ago and the shipping was more expensive than the stupid cable. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK! THE STUPID CABLE WILL NOT CONNECT TO A JACK. DOES NOT "CLICK" ON! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! not unless you wanna waste your money.
Overall Review: i didn't even bother making an exchange because these cables are cheaply made and will not stay on the jack. why go thru another aggravating experience? again, no refunds only exchange. i guess if newegg can sell junk like this and won't refund...all i can say is "wow". two thumbs way way down on this cable and newegg.
good value and good performing

Pros: fairly fast, stays fairly cool and overclocks well up to 960 fsb on 1:1 ratio. great packaging and looks attractive. default low voltage responds well to increasing voltage when overclocking. mine is set @ 2.02v on 890 fsb.
Cons: when inserting ram into mobo, becareful to push in the main unit and NOT the heatsink. your fingers could slip and break the ram and mobo and could possibly hurt yourself if you push in the heatsink. tall heatsink may get in the way and block an aftermarket cpu cooler. makes sure there is enough room to first insert ram and secure it before installing your cpu cooler; then you can calculate the space.
Overall Review: as always, newegg is #1
value drive that performs well

Pros: fairly fast, fairly quiet when reading and burning disc, and fairly easy to install. great value.
Cons: when tray comes out and goes back in; makes an irritating clicking noise. hope it doesn't kaputt on me.
Overall Review: comes with cd that includes powerdvd, powerplay, nero express lightscribe, acrobat reader, etc. also includes 1 sata cable and 1 sata power adapter. newegg is #1 as always!
