Best thing since sliced bread

XTRAC PADS Ripper Mouse Pad
XTRAC PADS Ripper Mouse Pad

Pros: Are you still using that frayed old thing with coffee stains and scratches all over it to put your mouse on? Or are you even *gasp* using your bare desk?! Stop. You stop right there. You may not think there is a problem with what you are doing, but believe me, there is. Once you get a nice, giant pad like this with a perfect cloth surface, it will feel like dragging the mouse across sandpaper the next time you try to use anything else. Seriously, this thing was the solution to a problem I never realized I had. I mean, who gets picky about their mouse pad, right? Well, now you do. Because this thing rocks and you'll feel out of place whenever you try to use anything else. Also, do you put your phone on your desk and then get startled by it's deafening vibration against the surface when you get a text? WELL NOT ANYMORE. Because this thing is so freakin huge, there's plenty of room to put your phone on it to, so it doesn't feel like an earthquake every time your mom texts you. Use it as a coaster! No seriously. And then when it gets gross just run it through the washing machine. I've done this twice and haven't noticed any degradation of the material.

Cons: -Logo is big. I kind of remember it smelling for a bit after first opening. It completely went away, though.

Overall Review: They give you a sticker. To advertise to your friends how sweet of a mousepad you have. It's that serious. Also, just ordered a second one to put under my keyboard so I can have one gigantic MegaMat. Mostly because it was on sale.

Most Critical Review

Worked for a month, then slowed to a crawl

Toshiba P300 2TB Desktop PC Internal Hard Drive 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 inch - HDWD120XZSTA (RETAIL PACKAGE)
Toshiba P300 2TB Desktop PC Internal Hard Drive 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 inch - HDWD120XZSTA (RETAIL PACKAGE)

Pros: -Got it on sale

Cons: -Worked well enough for about 30 days, then began having extremely long response times and slow transfer rates. Sometimes as low as 1 MB/s. -Toshiba's RMA process seemed overly complex and I managed to submit my initial RMA to an incorrect portal somehow. -Toshiba could not supply me with a replacement drive, and is sending me a prepaid Visa card. Now I have to spend more time shopping for a comparable drive. My next one will not be a Toshiba. I would recommend staying away.

Overall Review: Go with Seagate or WD. Not worth the savings after all the hassle I've been through, IMO.

Can't beat the deal

Perfect Pixel QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II Multi TRUE10 27" Matte 2560x1440 AH-VA Panel DVI HDMI Display Port Monitor
Perfect Pixel QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II Multi TRUE10 27" Matte 2560x1440 AH-VA Panel DVI HDMI Display Port Monitor

Pros: -Awesome awesome panel for the money -Great picture and resolution at a price that most companies only give you 1080p for.

Cons: -Plastic casing is cheap and stand is pretty sub-par, but I use the VESA mounts for that.

Overall Review: Not sure what Robert B was expecting. The reason you get these monitors so cheap is that they are the "B" quality panels that come off the same assembly line as the 5x as expensive Apple Cinema Display. They tell you about the potential for dead pixels in the description, and it's a risk you accept when purchasing. This is not a refined, perfect product. It is, however, crazy cheap and as such, you should expect some caveats. This will be my 2nd QNIX and I heavily recommend them.

Awesome memory!

G.SKILL TridentX Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10D-8GTX
G.SKILL TridentX Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10D-8GTX

Pros: I've been using 8gb of this memory for over 2 years now, and it has been running without a hitch! Just recently purchased another 8 gigs to bring me up to 16 and it couldn't be better. Very fast, reliable ram.

Cons: None that I could find.

Overall Review: I removed the heatsink on my models because it clashed slightly with the gold on my Asus Z97 Pro board, and the ram has been running fine with a mild overclock without it. I think it's really only there for aesthetics. No harm, no foul though, because it's really easy to remove or reattach later if I change my mind.

Uhh...yes

Rosewill RHTS-12006 Canal High Fidelity Passive Noise Isolating Rosewood Ear buds-Retails
Rosewill RHTS-12006 Canal High Fidelity Passive Noise Isolating Rosewood Ear buds-Retails

Pros: -I don't know their regular price, but what I got them for was less than what you'd spend at a decent fast food place. They're cheap. -Build quality. Braided cable AND wooden construction? These things feel very high quality. Some of the more expensive earbuds that I've purchased don't have these features. -Sound. I am by no means an audiphile, but I like my stuff to sound good. I have a relatively expensive set of headphones for my desktop (Audiotechnica ATH M-50's), and a nice pair of bluetooth earbuds, but I figured I'd get these as a backup set for either. Wow. These blew away my expectations. Granted, they're not perfect. The EQ is kinda weird, and they are noticeably different sounding than my other sets, but nothing particularly bad. I give the sound a 4/5 but the price and build quality make my overall rating a 5/5.

Cons: -For the price, literally none.

Overall Review: I originally only bought these because I didn't want to drag my big headphones to school and back, and my bluetooth earbuds don't like to play well with my laptop, so if I ever needed to watch a video for a class or anything on my laptop, I wouldn't be able to. So these were originally bought with just the intention of using them with my laptop when my nicer buds wouldn't connect. But I will probably be using these for general listening more than I thought I would be.

Great fan

COUGAR Vortex PWM 120mm (CF-V12HPB) Cooling Fan with Hydro-Dynamic Bearing and Pulse Width Modulation (Black Version)
COUGAR Vortex PWM 120mm (CF-V12HPB) Cooling Fan with Hydro-Dynamic Bearing and Pulse Width Modulation (Black Version)

Pros: -Aesthetics: Looks mean and serious with a little bit of party on the edges. Love it. -Performance: I didn't actually test this, but it feels like it moves quite a bit of air on the back exhaust of my case, even on low RPM's -Noise: Seriously minimal. I have it in my Define R4 with all my other fans turned down and I can't hear anything. It's delightfully quiet as long as you have software/fan controller. Running at max RPM is noticeable but not infuriating unless you're a silence freak. -Price: Priced competitively, and a killer deal when on sale. I've gotten 3 of these fans, each on a different special. Keep your eyes on the price.

Cons: Honestly, none.

Overall Review: Please do not run this off of the included 4pin to Molex adapter. It will run it at full RPMs all the time, and somewhat ruins the entire point of this fan, which is to be SILENT.

Very helpful and professional support

A month after my purchase, my Qnix monitor began having a display issue where there were alternating rows of lines across my screen. I contacted the seller, and through the troubleshooting process they recommended I open the monitor and reconnect all of the interior cables. This was easier than I expected, and when I reassembled the monitor, everything worked great! I was really scared of having to ship it all the back to Korea and definitely didn't want to do that, so it was fantastic that they helped me fix it myself. Would buy from again.
