Great for the price
Pros: Great ram, I let it test over night with Memtest 0 errors. Which is always a great thing. No BSOD either.
Cons: Nothing wrong with this memory.
Overall Review: Final comment: Make sure that you buy this memory when and only when you have taken into effect your motherboard, and more importantly your CPU speed. Remember your MB, CPU, and Ram all have ideal speeds in which they can run, and it's best if you take a moment and ask someone in a tech forum what ram speed would be best to work best with your other 2 components. Matching your ram only to your Motherboard is not they way to ensure ultimate performance, thus your CPU must be factored in. (tried to put this very plainly, if nothing else I hope it will get some of you to ask more questions about what you thought you knew.)
Why does this card get only 3 eggs?
Pros: 1) The card is fast if you get it to work. 2) The card is the best priced for the most performance. 3) The card allowed for a solid 3dmark score. 4) Download the drivers from nvidia's website not the silly non working ones provided with the CDROM.
Cons: 1) The reason this card only gets a 3 eggs is not because it doesn't live up to my expectations, but because LEAD-TEK has Zero, let me say again Zero customer support located in the US. They do not have a toll free number, they have a CA pay number that NO ONE answers.
Overall Review: ALSO: I sent off my Rebate form 3 months ago and on time, and the check hasn't arrived and they provide no way to know if they have received the rebate forms. In a nutshell there are too many other brands like XFX that do provide a basic level of necessary US customer support, so in my opinion Lead-tek must change or face the fact that Americans will go elsewhere with their video card needs.
PPC-6700 OWNERS PLEASE READ THIS FIRST...
Pros: The keyboard is small, super compact, and fits in my pocket when folded. Once you get the right drivers for it you will be happy.
Cons: I spent an hour trying to get this keyboard to pair up with the PPC-6700 smartphone, I had to email Think Outside tech support to get the right driver for this phone/OS. TWO things: 1) the driver you want IF you have the PPC-6700 is: Think Outside ppc5 En and 2) you must disable the secure connection in order to pair. Then it works. Other issues: Keyboard does seem fragile, and you must repair each time u wish to use this device.
Overall Review: Think Outside Inc. really needs to inform people better on checking the website for updated drivers specific to your device. Or put out an update CD-Rom. Their email support is good, as they did respond the same day, but I guess I'm an old fuddy duddy I would prefer a 1-800# to me it's necessary when selling technical products since I was so close to returning this item.
Just to confirm
Pros: Again the TV is a nice unit but there is a lot of U G L Y that is tough to overlook... see cons
Cons: Olevia/Syntax customer service is just Terriable! with a capital T My TV was delivered with scuffs due to overly sticky tape, and no touch up paint is available. ALSO despite what another reviewer said there is no TV codes available for your universal remote that comes from your TV cable company. See my original post.
Overall Review: If this young startup company is going to survive they must create a customer service department that is up to the task of making consumers happy, thus far they are not meeting my minmum expectations, and would cause me to not buy or recommend this brand to anyone. Go with SAMSUNG you will not be unhappy with their CS.
Nice Upgrade For Socket 939 MB but....
Pros: I went from a 3200+ to this FX55 processor, my 3DMark score went from 3700 to 4076, not a huge jump but certainly a small step forward. The heatsink has an interesting design with copper pipes, very cool. No pun intended.
Cons: The massive heat sink, I swear AMD takes 2 steps forward on improving their heatsinks design and then they take 1 step back with the cheap arm lever, the arm that secures the heatsink snuggly to the MB is terrible. It cheap and needs to be rethought, revamped, and redesigned.
Overall Review: Why can't AMD compete more soundly with Intel? They really should be able to build faster processors than this. If your like me and staying with your Socket 939 MB this is a great choice, if your willing to change MB's then go with Intel they have AMD beat 10 fold.
The Good, The Bad, and, The So So.
Pros: 1) Nice bright 42" screen. 2) This TV despite the New Egg details on the product information section which says only "720p" is untrue; this TV can broadcast in 1080i. 3) The Silver Cabinet is beautiful and I love it. See comments in the Cons section “Mind the tape!” 4) Does support 1 HDMI plug. 5) Does have USB hookups for updating firmware. 6) The remote is functional, but see my comments in the cons section. 7) Currently there are plenty of hookups for this TV. 8) The shipping was fast! ATI during Christmas had my set to me in 6 days! 9) Priced to sell. Try and find a 42" LCD Flat Screen for the next 60-90 days for under $950.00? Good luck...
Cons: 1) Ok when my TV arrived, Olevia ships the TV with a plastic screen cover with "VERY" STICKY tape, so STICKY that if you’re not VERY careful to remove the tape slowly some of the metallic silver cabinet paint will come with. Olevia has been checking for over 1 week to see if they can send me some touch up paint. 2) The Customer Service at Olevia: NEEDS MAJOR IMPROVENMENT! The deal with them; you call hit 10 different buttons and then you wait, wait and wait. After 30 mins a representative came on the phone, just to tell me that she isn’t sure that touch up paint can’t be sent to me. 3) The remote is functional, but terrible, mainly because you can very easily lock it into show room and thereby rendered the buttons useless. 4) Only 1 HDMI input might be an issue someday, not today but in the next 2-3 years it’s a problem… 5) The Speaker's are OK; their intensity will not blow you away. 6) NO CODES EXIST yet to program your universal remote.
Overall Review: 1) Overall it’s a nice TV for the money. 2) The No Remote Codes is a major downside; you will need a universal remote that has learning capabilities. 3) It mounts very easily to Wall this is a major plus, I purchased the Mustang Tilt Mount through Am-azon for $64.00 when signing up for their CC. 4) Firmware Update is another major plus. 5) Olevia Customer service needs improvement. 6) The remote needs improvement. 7) The speakers need to be 15 watts not 10. 8) Be careful with the Sticky Tape.
