Tank of a case
Pros: Everything about this case is pretty awesome. From the packaging it arrived in all the way to the finished build. It's built like a tank that should last forever. Great airflow options with magnetic covers top and bottom... dust filters where you need them... fill/drain port cutouts if you decide to go water cooling and the space to put rads where you would need them... 3 quality Phanteks fans come with it... cable maintenance really nice... storage options out the ying-yang... Type C port on the I/O panel... you get the picture.
Cons: None that I've encountered. Just a design "meh" with the pull straps to open the side panels is kinda odd. I think I'd rather have a slide catch or something to pull up and out to get the panels open.
Overall Review: Coming from an older guy who stuck with his HAF 912 case and FX8350 setup for years, these new-fangled up-to-date sturdy options are a major upgrade for me. And, personally, I'm not all in to the "Las Vegas" strip systems everyone is trying to build these days. Which is why I like this case from a cosmetic take - doesn't look like something from alien spacecraft architecture and I don't need the side window. Perfect for my needs.
Scanning for 2013
Pros: Uses telepathy for broadcasting setup procedures. Most of your $17K scanners require antiquated voice commands. Get with the 21st century and go with telepathic brain power via DNA settings (a simple drop of blood on the initialization's retractable slide is a snap).
Cons: At times the DR-X10c will try to alter brain cells with return packets via the telepathic messaging system, but the new firmware has included an instruction set which limits the machine from attempting subversive mind control. I would definitely upgrade if I were you.
Overall Review: Originally listed for $17,000 but I held out till they dropped it to the current price. I had to jump at it then. I would recommend powering down at night because the other two owners have reported that the machine has attempted communications with extra-terrestrials, Area 51 and NORAD.
Pros: Solid, direct CU heatsink. Relatively easy install on AMD setup. Heck of a lot cheaper here than the "Big South American River" site ($30 price difference).
Cons: Can't imagine trying to put the fan on with the motherboard installed in the case. Takes some patience (and perseverance) with fan mounting - getting one side done is easy...the other side, not so much.
Overall Review: Used Noctua NF-14 grease and temps are high 20's. Mounted on a Phenom 1090T in a CM HAF912 case. Easy clearance on the height; 1st RAM slot still available for GSkill Sniper stick without fan interference, barely.
Pros: Nice board matched with my Phenom 1090T and GSkill Sniper RAM. Comes with driver/utilities disk, including OC Genie etc. So far, everything is running fast and as expected.
Cons: USB mouse didn't work in BIOS, although not much of a con ... and see below if that's an issue for you.
Overall Review: USB mouse now works with BIOS flash upgrade to v.22.2
Product was great... FedEx not so much
Seller and product was fantastic, but FedEx just left the box in the driveway - during Christmas time, which didn't make me too happy. Have they heard of porch pirates? They could've at least rang the doorbell before they left.
