Pros: Installed, ran perfectly, came free with HIS HD4850, complimented it very well, running graphics on very high with 2x anti aliasing, no lag

Cons: no manual, took forever to install

Overall Review: running, GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM, AMD Phenom 8650 2.3GHz, G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066, HIS HD4850, Auzentech Prelude 7.1, GIGABYTE 3D Aurora 570 GZ-FA1CA-ASB Black

BIOSTAR TP55 LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Working mobo

Cons: manually configure all overclocking settings manually configure ram settings bios beep codes are very annoying DECLINED REBATE: reason "other"

Overall Review: DO NOT TRUST THEIR REBATE OFFERS

Works as advertised, but check your board!

Kingston 16GB ECC Registered DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Server Memory Model KVR21R15D4/16

Pros: Worked fine, but the board determined the speeds on my sticks. Using MD70-HB1 E-ATX

Cons: Price, which will probably go down in time..

Great board but bad nic

GIGABYTE MD70-HB1 E-ATX / SSI EEB Server Motherboard Dual LGA 2011-3 Intel C612
GIGABYTE MD70-HB1 E-ATX / SSI EEB Server Motherboard Dual LGA 2011-3 Intel C612

Pros: Stable. Works well when using 2 CPUs. If you plan to use 1 CPU, then make sure you take a look at the component diagram first. You will notice the NIC cards do not work with 1 CPU, because they are attached to CPU2, and etc... Onboard graphics only supports analog, so the refresh rate is terrible. Get yourself a cheap gpu. Takes a while to boot. Using Xeon E5-2630v3 (x2) 64 GB Ram (KVR21R15D4/16) Running CentOS 6.7

Cons: Bad NIC. Cannot get more than 100Mbps on a 1Gbps nic. Tested on Windows Server 2012, RedHat 6.7, CentOS 6.7, Ubuntu 14. No matter what driver/firmwire I installed, could not get it to negotiate at 1000Mbps. Also, whenever both nics were in use, one would always stop working. Had to get pci-e nic cards to get to 1000Mbps.

Fantastic

Intel Core i5-760 - Core i5 Lynnfield Quad-Core 2.8 GHz LGA 1156 95W Desktop Processor - BX80605I5760

Pros: clocked to 167mhz, 22x, +0.04V = 3679 mhz. slowly testing higher clocks. Combined with Corsair H50 (x1 push fan) - idle temps hang between 28-30C, full load 40-44C Corsair H50 (x2 push pull fans) - idle temps drop to 21-23C, full load 32-34C

Cons: tested on biostar tp55. do not get this mobo. no real cons for this processor

Linux dual boot

Acer Aspire One AOD255-1134 Ruby Red Intel Atom N550(1.50 GHz) 10.1" WSVGA 1GB Memory 250GB HDD Netbook
Acer Aspire One AOD255-1134 Ruby Red Intel Atom N550(1.50 GHz) 10.1" WSVGA 1GB Memory 250GB HDD Netbook

Pros: -If your going for ubuntu, don't use netbook remix. The interface is too laggy and slows down all your processes. Desktop version works just fine. All drivers are accounted for. -ubuntu 10.10 - runs at 1 GHz by default -> auto clocks itself to 1.5 GHz when needed

Cons: -windows starter is worthless. -> deleted entire hard disk including recovery -> reformat to windows 7 ultimate. all drivers can be found using windows update + acer website. -no bluetooth/3g (ignore these drivers) -use atheros lan driver, synaptics touchpad, broadcom wireless -everything else should be obvious

Overall Review: The battery tends to drop fast if your running your processor at max speed. I'm closer to 6.5 hours than 8 hours on 1 GHz. This netbook is a great buy. Don't think its necessary to go the extra mile and purchase the 2gb dd3. 1gb is more than enough.
